Registered Manager - Children’s Residential Care \n Location: Bedford \n Competitive Salary + Bonus Potential \n \n The Opportunity \n An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home supporting young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs. \n This role offers full operational leadership and the platform to build a high-performing service, strengthen care standards, and deliver positive long-term impact for young people. \n \n The Role \n As Registered Manager, you will: \n\n • Oversee the day-to-day management of the home\n, • Lead and develop a motivated, high-quality staff team\n, • Create a structured, safe and nurturing care environment\n, • Embed high standards of consistency, accountability and child-centred care\n\n \n Compliance & Quality \n\n • Ensure compliance with all Ofsted requirements, regulations and standards\n, • Take ownership of safeguarding, risk assessments and incident management\n, • Ensure care planning and documentation are accurate, current and high quality\n, • Prepare for inspections and drive ongoing improvements across the service\n\n \n Leadership & Operations \n\n • Manage recruitment activity, staffing levels and workforce planning\n, • Carry out regular supervisions, appraisals and development support\n, • Oversee financial performance, budgets and occupancy targets\n, • Partner with senior leadership to support wider service development\n\n \n Stakeholder Engagement \n\n • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Local Authorities, Ofsted and professionals\n, • Represent the home with professionalism and integrity\n, • Maintain open, effective communication with families and external stakeholders\n\n \n What We’re Looking For \n\n • Experience working as a Registered Manager in a children’s home\n, • Detailed understanding of Ofsted frameworks and regulatory compliance\n, • Background supporting children and young people with SEMH or complex behaviours\n, • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management, or progress towards it\n, • A proactive and capable leader who can improve service delivery and outcomes\n\n \n What’s On Offer \n\n • Competitive basic salary plus performance incentives\n, • Real autonomy to influence and shape the service\n, • Strong support from an experienced senior management team\n, • Progression opportunities within an expanding care provider\n\n \n Apply Now \n If you are a strong Registered Manager looking for a role where you can lead with confidence, raise standards and make a lasting impact, apply today or contact us for a confidential discussion.
