Electro Mechanical Engineer Chesterfield Competitive Salary KO2’s client, an innovative engineering company based in Chesterfield, is looking to recruit a talented Electronics & Mechanical Engineer to join their growing multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge products from concept through to production, combining both electronic and mechanical design expertise. The Role As an Electronics & Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, testing, and improvement of bespoke engineered systems. This is a hands-on position where you will be involved across the full product lifecycle, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop electronic circuits (analogue and digital), • Create and modify PCB layouts, • Mechanical design using 3D CAD (enclosures, housings, assemblies), • Prototype build, test, and validation, • Support product transition from design to manufacture, • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturing partners Skills & Experience Required • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, • Strong experience in both electronic circuit design and mechanical design, • Proficiency with PCB design tools, • Experience using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks ideally), • Hands-on prototyping and testing experience, • Understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM principles, • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Desirable Experience • Embedded systems knowledge, • Firmware development (C/C++), • Project management exposure What’s on Offer • Competitive salary, • Opportunity to work on innovative, real-world products, • Collaborative and supportive engineering environment, • Career progression within a growing organisation This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys variety, technical ownership, and working across both electronics and mechanical disciplines in a dynamic environment.
