Are you an experienced senior oncology nurse leader ready to shape the future of cancer care? GenesisCare UK is seeking an exceptional Matron to lead our Outpatient and SACT nursing teams at our state‑of‑the‑art cancer centre in Guildford. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Matron or senior nursing leader to provide strategic and operational leadership across our Systemic Anti‑Cancer Therapy (SACT) and Outpatient services, ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence, patient safety and compassionate care. Working closely with the Centre Leader and multidisciplinary teams, you will play a pivotal role in driving service innovation, developing high‑performing teams and delivering an outstanding experience for every patient. As Matron, you will provide visible clinical leadership across our SACT and Outpatient departments, ensuring services are delivered safely, effectively and in line with evidence‑based practice, regulatory standards and GenesisCare values. You’ll oversee the day‑to‑day operational management of both services, lead workforce development and quality improvement initiatives, and champion a culture of continuous learning, collaboration and clinical excellence. This is an influential leadership position where you’ll help shape the future of our services whilst maintaining an unwavering focus on patient‑centred care. • Provide strategic and operational leadership across the SACT and Outpatient departments, • Lead and inspire multidisciplinary nursing teams, promoting a positive, inclusive and high‑performing culture, • Ensure the safe, effective and efficient delivery of clinical services in line with national standards and best practice, • Oversee workforce planning, rostering, recruitment, induction, appraisal and staff development, • Lead clinical governance, including audits, incident investigations, risk management and quality improvement initiatives, • Drive service innovation, improving patient pathways, operational efficiency and patient experience, • Build strong working relationships with consultants, clinical leaders and multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care, • Oversee clinic utilisation, patient flow and capacity management to maximise service performance, • Support education, competency development and clinical supervision across nursing teams, • Deputise for the Centre Leader when required, • Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration, • Significant post‑registration experience within oncology, haematology, SACT and outpatient services (minimum seven years), • Extensive senior nursing leadership experience, ideally at Matron, Lead Nurse or equivalent level (minimum five years), • Strong knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety, risk management and quality improvement, • Current UKONS SACT Passport (or willingness to work towards), • Advanced Life Support qualification (or willingness to work towards), • Post‑registration qualification in Oncology and/or Haematology, • Leadership and management qualification, or equivalent senior leadership experience, • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to engage confidently with consultants, senior clinicians and multidisciplinary teams, • A passion for delivering exceptional patient care whilst developing and supporting others Discover what’s in store when you join the GenesisCare UK team: • Shape your work‑life balance with 26 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays, and the option to buy or sell annual leave, • Prioritise your wellbeing with private medical insurance, dental cover, an Employee Assistance Programme and income protection, • Access our world‑class radiotherapy free of charge for you and your immediate family, if required, • Secure your future with a competitive contributory pension scheme, • Support your wellbeing through our wellbeing community, with access to Babylon Health and Headspace, • Enjoy free parking at most of our centres, • Benefit from a range of retail discounts Location: GCTA‑Surrey #J-18808-Ljbffr
