Sales Engineer / Account Manager 📍 Location: UK Wide 🕒 Employment Type: Full-time 💷 Salary: Up to £50,000 + package (DOE) About the Company A leading UK-based electronic component specialist supporting customers across components, embedded modules, power, connectivity, and test & measurement. The business partners closely with world-class manufacturers to deliver technical value, design support, and long-term supply continuity across industrial, automation, instrumentation, and embedded applications. This organisation is known for its engineering-led sales culture, long-standing customer relationships, and ability to support customers from early-stage design through to production and lifecycle management. Role Overview This is a hybrid Sales Engineer / Account Manager role with a strong commercial edge. You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of active accounts while also playing a key role in business development, opening dormant relationships and identifying new growth opportunities. With no product silos, you’ll be empowered to promote the full portfolio across components, modules, and test & measurement, positioning the right technical solution for each application. This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the customer, understands how engineers think, and knows how to turn design-in activity into long-term revenue. Key Responsibilities 🔹 Account Management • Own and develop a portfolio of existing customer accounts across multiple sectors, • Plan and conduct customer meetings to strengthen relationships and uncover new opportunities, • Translate customer technical requirements into commercial solutions via principal partners, • Provide technical sales support during design and development phases to secure design-ins, • Manage quotations, negotiations, and commercial discussions through to PO placement, • Support post-sale delivery, customer satisfaction, and issue resolution alongside internal teams, • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and CRM data, • Feed back market intelligence, customer insights, and competitor activity to the wider team, • Represent the business at roadshows, exhibitions, and industry events 🔹 Business Development • Re-engage dormant customers and expand existing relationships, • Identify and develop new customer opportunities across relevant applications and markets, • Support and contribute to the existing BDM framework, suggesting improvements where appropriate, • Analyse market trends, applications, and customer demand to identify new growth areas, • Collaborate internally to explore new supplier partnerships and market entry opportunities Requirements • Experience within the electronic components industry (distribution, manufacturing, or solutions-led sales), • Strong technical understanding across components, modules, embedded solutions, or test & measurement, • Proven ability to support design-in activity and engage with engineers at a technical level, • Commercially confident with experience in quotations, negotiation, and account development, • Comfortable managing multiple accounts and opportunities simultaneously, • Self-motivated, curious, and driven to grow both accounts and market knowledge What’s On Offer • Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience, • UK-wide role with autonomy and flexibility, • Exposure to a broad, technically diverse product portfolio, • Strong internal support structure and collaborative sales culture, • Opportunity to influence growth strategy and supplier development, • Long-term career progression within a stable, engineering-led organisation 👉 Apply now or send a confidential DM to learn more.
