Role Overview We are seeking an experienced UK Business Director to lead and develop our UK subsidiary based in Cambridgeshire. This is a senior leadership role with end-to-end responsibility for the UK business, covering strategy, operations, commercial performance and organizational development. The role reports directly to Group Headquarters and works closely with global and China-based teams. As the UK business grows, this position offers a clear pathway to General Manager / Managing Director responsibilities. Key Responsibilities 1. Business Strategy & Performance • Develop and execute the UK subsidiary’s annual business plan, operating targets and budget in alignment with group strategy, • Drive sustainable growth across the UK and selected European markets, including brand positioning, channel strategy and product portfolio planning, • Oversee overall business performance, ensuring achievement of revenue, margin, inventory turnover and cost-efficiency targets 2. Leadership & Organization • Lead and manage cross-functional local teams, including sales, marketing, operations, manufacturing/assembly, finance and after-sales, • Review and optimize organizational structure, business processes and systems to improve efficiency, collaboration and execution, • Manage talent acquisition, training, performance management and succession planning, • Foster a collaborative, accountable and positive team culture while ensuring compliance with UK labour regulations 3. Sales & Marketing • Develop market-specific sales strategies based on deep understanding of UK and European market trends, competitors and customer needs, • Expand and manage sales channels, including distributors, retailers, integrators and online channels, • Drive brand-building initiatives through marketing campaigns, trade shows, PR and industry events 4. Finance, Compliance & Risk Management • Take ownership of financial planning, budgeting, cost control and profitability of the UK entity, • Coordinate audits, statutory filings, Companies House submissions, trademark matters and other compliance requirements, • Support and liaise with group teams on global initiatives such as IPO-related preparation where required, • Ensure full compliance with UK tax, financial, legal and corporate governance standards 5. Operations & Supply Chain • Optimize local warehousing, logistics and after-sales service to enhance customer satisfaction while controlling costs, • Monitor inventory structure, product lifecycle management and demand forecasting, • Oversee UK-based production or assembly lines, including capacity planning, supplier sourcing and price negotiations 6. Group Communication & Cross-Cultural Collaboration • Provide regular reporting to Group HQ, including monthly business reviews, market insights and financial analysis, • Proven experience leading small to mid-sized, multi-functional teams and delivering strategic planning and execution, ideally within premium manufacturing, consumer electronics or audio distribution environments., • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with a solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, performance management and P&L accountability. A recognised accounting qualification is required; CPA or equivalent is highly preferred., • Demonstrated operational leadership capability, with the ability to manage KPIs, lead business initiatives and make effective, timely decisions in a complex operating environment., • A strong customer-centric mindset, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality outcomes in fast-paced, performance-driven settings, while maintaining attention to detail and high professional standards across the team., • Hands-on leadership style, comfortable balancing day-to-day operational and administrative responsibilities with higher-level strategic planning and execution., • Proficiency in ERP systems, financial and accounting software, scanning systems and Microsoft Office, with the ability to guide and support team members in their effective use., • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and cultures., • Bachelor’s degree required, together with a professional accounting qualification, and at least 10 years of senior management experience with a proven track record of driving business growth., • Willingness to travel as required across the UK, Europe and to Group Headquarters in China.
