This role involves end-to-end ownership — from product selection and vendor management to architecture design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance. A key responsibility will also include developing and maintaining robust data backup and recovery solutions, contributing to the firm’s overall business continuity strategy. While the position has a strong design component, it remains a hands-on technical role requiring deep expertise in enterprise-grade storage systems. Key Responsibilities • Design, deliver, and maintain optimized storage infrastructure to support critical business systems and trading operations., • Collaborate with cross-functional infrastructure teams (Windows, UNIX, Network, Database) to define and implement shared storage solutions., • Build and manage vendor relationships, including evaluation and selection of storage products and technologies., • Design and implement scalable and performant storage networks (e.g., SAN, NAS) and data backup systems., • Develop and manage data protection and disaster recovery strategies in alignment with business continuity plans., • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize storage performance across multiple environments., • Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation and operational procedures. Required Experience & Skills • 5+ years of experience in storage systems administration and platform engineering., • Proven track record in delivering, tuning, and maintaining enterprise-grade storage solutions., • Strong working knowledge of storage protocols such as SMB, NFS, and S3., • Solid understanding of both Linux and Windows operating systems., • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing data backup and recovery solutions., • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional technical team., • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
