A worthwhile job that also has its rewards. Which charity would I be helping? The role is working as a face-to-face charity fundraiser on behalf of Childrens Hospice South West (CHSW). At Childrens Hospice South West (CHSW) we help and support children, young people and their families who are living with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Every day is dedicated to making the most of every moment. Because life is unpredictable, we are here day and night, all year long - whenever we are needed. CHSW is the only childrens hospice in the South West. Ourservices are free to families who need us because we believe that nothing should get in the way of very sick children receiving the very best care. Children's Hospice South West provides care for over 500 families in the South West. This care is delivered through three hospices, which are centres of excellence, and through outreach in the community. So, with little government funding, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to deliver our promise to make the most of short and precious lives across the South West. You can be a vital part of helping Childrens Hospice South West raise the money that it needs to be able to support local families. What is the job? The role is fundraising as a 3rd party agent, employed by The Fundraising Partnership, representing and fundraising on behalf of Childrens Hospice South West.Your job will be to find more people to support us with a small regular donation and you do this by talking to local people at their homes, being friendly, explaining what Childrens Hospice South West does, and asking them to become a regular supporter via the Childrens Hospice South West Lottery programme. So you would be doing a job where after 5 years of work, through your professionalism, integrity, and hard work you could raise more than £2 million for charities that deal, quite literally, in matters of life and death. Job requirements and details You need to be reasonably mobile and physically fit and active, we can train you in all other parts of the job very easily. You will also be ethical and take pride in doing a job the right way. You need interpersonal skills, to be a good listener and be able to communicate effectively, however you dont need to be really persuasive or great at making speeches as this isnt a typical sales job. You will need to have a car but will typically be working within 30 minutes of your home. Full-time OTE is between £30-40k pa.
