Come and join a business where you will have the opportunity to grow a team in an environment where success relies on nurturing a motivated and enthusiastic workforce, and employee contribution is valued and rewarded. \n \n This is a primarily remote role with occasional travel to the office a few times per month. \n \n The role will Include: \n\n • Develop, calibrate, validate, maintain, and utilize models for root cause analysis, understanding system operation and performance, communicating risk, and supporting business needs.\n, • Provide technical training, coaching, and mentoring for team members, demonstrating technical leadership and driving technical improvements within the team.\n, • Prioritize health and safety in the delivery process and practices.\n, • Proactively manage stakeholders and foster excellent internal networks across the organization.\n, • Ensure the delivery of quality modelling outputs and instill confidence in the results. • Develop Total Expenditure (TOTEX) solutions to enhance outcomes.\n, • Use modelling results to aid stakeholders in decision-making and recommend modeling approaches to support design teams.\n, • Continuously challenge and seek opportunities to improve the technical quality and confidence of modelling outputs.\n, • Support the development and adherence to modelling specifications.\n, • Foster innovation and a culture of continuous improvement.\n\n \n \n Qualifications: \n\n • Demonstrated experience in technical training, coaching, and mentoring.\n, • Proven ability to streamline processes for efficiency.\n, • Degree level education or equivalent experience.\n, • Substantial experience in the relevant field, ideally with a relevant professional qualification or Chartership.\n, • Proficiency in data interrogation using Microsoft Excel, including Visual Basic programming.\n, • Strong attention to detail, verbal, and written communication skills.\n, • Effective presentation skills.\n, • Valid driving license.\n\n Capability: \n\n • Proficiency in software such as InfoWorks ICM, Risk Master, InfoAsset Manager, MapInfo, and ArcGIS.\n, • Demonstrated experience in model development, verification, river modeling, water quality modelling, and solution development.\n, • Excellent understanding of hydraulics and water quality standards.\n, • Practical understanding of option buildability.\n\n \n \n What can we offer you? \n\n • Flexible working\n, • A clear and structured career and CPD progression route with support to gain CIWEM Chartership\n, • Very strong staff retention rates and a genuine feeling of `team`, offering an inclusive, accepting and supportive environment and a commitment to staff health and wellbeing.\n, • A workplace culture that encourages team building, social activities and charitable events\n, • Bright open plan offices – in the heart of Sheffield and on the edge of Exeter – both giving access to good transport links, to local amenities and lunchtime walking routes.\n, • Company benefits: 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, Westfield Health Scheme, Death in Service cover, & Contributary Pension Scheme.\n, • Free parking and on-site secure bike storage.\n\n
