Full training will be provided for all duties as part of your apprenticeship, alongside additional valuable training such as Basic Life Support. You should be presentable, reliable, and punctual, capable of working effectively both as part of our small team and independently. Confidentiality is paramount in this role. We are looking for a Kitchen Extract Cleaning Operative to join our specialist hygiene team. In this role, you will be responsible for the deep cleaning of commercial kitchen ventilation systems (canopies, ductwork, and fans) to ensure our clients remain compliant with fire safety regulations (TR19 standards). This is a physically demanding role that involves working in confined spaces and at heights, often while the rest of the world is asleep. Key Responsibilities • Deep Cleaning: Removing grease and carbon deposits from kitchen canopies, filters, and internal ductwork., • Compliance: Ensuring all work is completed to TR19 or equivalent industry standards., • Reporting: Taking "before and after" photos and completing digital job sheets to provide evidence of a job well done., • Equipment Care: Maintaining specialist cleaning equipment and ensuring the van is stocked., • Safety: Adhering strictly to Health & Safety protocols, including the use of chemicals and PPE. What We’re Looking For • Reliability: You are punctual and can be trusted to work independently or as part of a small team., • Physical Fitness: Ability to handle heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and working in cramped spaces., • Flexibility: Comfortable working night shifts and occasional weekends., • Full UK Driving License: Essential for traveling between client sites – van provided, • Experience: Previous experience in industrial cleaning or ductwork is a plus, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
