We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Billing Coordinator with strong Accounts Receivable expertise to join our Billing Department and support firm-wide billing accuracy, compliance, and financial performance. Position Overview The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of legal billing and/or accounts receivable experience, exceptional attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of law firm billing processes. Licensure as an Enrolled Agent (EA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Licensed Bookkeeper is strongly preferred. This role is integral to maintaining billing accuracy, managing receivables, and supporting both attorneys and clients with professional, timely communication. Key Responsibilities • Prepare, review, and finalize accurate client invoices in accordance with engagement letters, billing guidelines, and time entries, • Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R), including monitoring aging reports and proactively following up on outstanding balances, • Maintain accurate billing and financial records, ensuring data integrity and compliance, • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to resolve billing discrepancies and clarify client-specific arrangements, • Respond promptly and professionally to client billing inquiries, • Process billing adjustments, write-offs, refunds, and credit memos as needed, • Ensure compliance with firm billing policies, client requirements, and applicable regulations, • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting through accurate invoice processing, • Handle confidential client and financial information with discretion and professionalism Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred, • Active licensure as an Enrolled Agent (EA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Licensed Bookkeeper strongly preferred, • Minimum 3 years of legal billing, accounts receivable, or finance experience in a law firm or professional services environment, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and billing/accounting software such as Clio, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems, • Experience with legal billing systems, e-billing platforms, and LEDES formats strongly preferred, • Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and reconciliation skills, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach, • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, • Proactive problem-solver with strong organizational skills What We Offer • Competitive compensation package, • 401(k) with employer match, • Paid time off and firm-observed holidays, • Flexible work environment, • Supportive and collaborative team culture, • Opportunities for professional growth and advancement If you are a motivated legal billing professional with strong financial expertise and relevant licensure, we encourage you to apply and become a valued member of Morgan Legal Group, P.C.
