I am searching for a hybrid remote, Office Assistant (roughly 16 hours a week with the opportunity to increase), who can assist with tasks such as personal communications including but not limited to detailed notetaking, understanding/interpreting emails, developing email responses, assisting with any needed phone/video calls, and documents that I receive. This individual would also potentially assist with local volunteer opportunities that I take part in and/or potential local speaking events that I may present at. It is equally important that the hired individual understand that I am not looking for someone to micromanage or run my daily life, instead, I am seeking someone who can help facilitate conversations, comprehension, and overall understanding regarding job tasks and goals. This role is flexible and adaptable with the main purpose revolving around ensuring personal life tasks are on track so that I have more time available to allocate to the development of Ability Together (a nonprofit organization I founded) and prepare for more speaking events. Responsibilities Assist with personal correspondence, personal schedule keeping, and appointment setting/management. Provide interpretation services through video/phone calls with personal contacts. Work to ensure personal self-determination goals are being actualized and brought forward to maintain steady progress. Assist with the presenting of ABT presentation and serve as a contact for the organization at local speaking events. Assist with personal appointments (Example: myofunctional/speech therapy) to take notes and interpret communications. Facilitate practice of exercises given during myofunctional/speech therapy. Ensure all email, mail, text, and any other communications are processed, responded to, and properly categorized. Assist with setting up equipment for local speaking events or in-person training that I am hired for. Full Job Description JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Dentist, the Dental Assistant performs a wide variety of patient care and office duties, working chair-side as dentists examine and treat patients. Makes patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair preparing them for treatment. Monday - Thursday Hours and Saturdays TASKS: 1. Set up instrument trays, prepares materials; 2. Escort patient into dental examination room; 3. Preparing the patient for treatment by seating patient, obtaining records and applying protective garb; 4. Takes and records medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients; 5. Preparing instruments, materials to be used; 6. Take digital dental x-rays; 7. Assists during dental procedures by handing instruments and other supplies, suctioning, irrigating, etc. as instructed by the Dentist; 8. Assists dentist in management of medical and dental emergencies; 9. Decontaminate, scrubbing, packaging, and sterilizing all instruments; 10. Take alginate impressions and pouring models 11. Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs; 12. Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by the Dentist; 13. Clean patient area of dental treatment room, removing instruments and supplies, discard disposable supplies and instruments, and ensuring that the room is ready for the next patient; 14. Perform autoclave cleaning and testing; 15. Young Judaea Sprout Brooklyn Day Camp, located in Red Hook, is a Hebrew dual-language camp for children entering Pre-K through 5th grade. No previous Hebrew experience is necessary to be part of the Sprout Brooklyn community. Sprout Brooklyn is a place where children from a wide spectrum of backgrounds join together to create a joyful, diverse community built on Jewish values, a connection to Israel and the Hebrew language. All of our Activity Specialists build their own informal Jewish education curricula based on Jewish values and creating a connection to Israel. They teach daily 30 minute lessons to campers entering Pre-K through entering 5th grade. Sprout Brooklyn values staff that are positive and flexible team players who are excited to spend the summer with young campers and staff.
