Job Description About the Role We are seeking an organized, proactive, and people-focused HR Generalist – Recruitment to support our growing operations team. This role is primarily responsible for high-volume recruiting and onboarding of hourly employees and supervisors across multiple service locations. You will partner closely with the Operations team to ensure positions are filled promptly, new hires are onboarded accurately, and HR processes are followed consistently across job sites. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, solving problems, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position offers hands-on HR experience within a labor-intensive service organization and the opportunity to take on broader responsibilities as the company continues to grow. The HR Generalist – Recruitment supports workforce operations by coordinating recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration for a field workforce. This role plays a key part in maintaining staffing levels, supporting supervisors, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations. As a member of the HR team, you will also help promote a positive, respectful, and compliant workplace environment across all locations. Key Responsibilities Recruiting & Staffing (Primary Focus) • Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly employees and supervisors, • Post jobs, source candidates, screen applicants, and schedule interviews, • Conduct phone and in-person interviews, • Coordinate hiring events and job fairs, • Partner with Operations Managers to understand staffing needs and priorities, • Maintain applicant tracking and hiring pipeline, • Prepare offer letters and hiring documentation, • Complete I-9 and employment eligibility verification, • Coordinate onboarding and orientation, • Ensure new employees are set up in payroll/timekeeping systems, • Maintain employee records and HRIS data, • Assist with timekeeping, attendance tracking, and payroll inputs, • Support benefits enrollment and employee questions, • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, attendance, and workplace issues, • Support supervisors with coaching and disciplinary documentation, • Assist with investigations and documentation of incidents, • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, • Support wage & hour compliance and proper documentation, • Coordinate safety and required employee trainings, • Track hiring metrics, turnover, and attendance trends, • Prepare basic HR and staffing reports, • Communicate regularly with field supervisors and operations leadership Required Skills & Qualifications • Experience recruiting hourly or high-volume workforce, • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, • Ability to manage multiple open positions simultaneously, • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, • Comfortable working in a fast-paced operations environment, • Ability to interact with diverse workforce populations, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), • Experience with HRIS, payroll, or scheduling systems preferred, • Ability to visit job sites locally when needed, • Bilingual English/Spanish required Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree preferred (HR, Business, or related field), • 2–4 years of HR or recruiting experience, • Experience in janitorial, security, staffing, healthcare, retail, or warehouse environment strongly preferred, • Knowledge of basic employment law and wage/hour practices, • Health insurance, • Dental insurance, • Paid time off, • Employee referral program, • Career growth opportunities Work Location In person — Long Island City, NY 11101 Commute required Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Long Island City and occasionally travel to nearby job sites.
