Job DescriptionEmergent Method seeks a student intern to support a wide range of communication, marketing, and general business tasks for the firm. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with a strong desire to learn, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality work. This internship is based in Baton Rouge, with flexible working hours and locations, and requires availability to work 20-30 hours per week. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: • Drafting deliverables such as newsletters, media releases, one-pagers, and reports, • Creating content for social media and managing a content calendar, • Designing social media graphics and formatting documents and presentations, • Conducting research and maintaining lists, databases, and spreadsheets, • Developing meeting agendas, summaries, and action items, • Collaborating with team members to support various projects and tasks, • Providing administrative and event support as neededMinimum qualifications and expectations include:, • Studying toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mass communication or a related field, • Strong written communication skills, including an adept knowledge of AP Style guidelines, • Strong visual communication skills, including an adept knowledge of Canva and Adobe InDesign, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint, • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, including X, Facebook, and LinkedIn, as well as trends, • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” to complete tasks, • Effective time management, organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills, • Strong work ethic with a keen attention to detail, • In good academic standing, • Involvement in extracurricular activities with demonstrated leadership experience Powered by JazzHR g1YA0CtdrM
