Job DescriptionSalary: Job Title: Marketing and Communications Assistant FLSA: Non-Exempt Reports To: Community Outreach Manager Status: Full-time Last Update: 2/17/2026 Company Summary: Crossroads is an Arizona Department of Health Services licensed substance abuse treatment provider with proven expertise in serving men, women, and Veterans with Substance Use Disorder through the provision of high quality, successful, and affordable residential and outpatient recovery programs. Due to federal contracts the following items are prohibited: Medical/Recreational marijuana, current parole, or probation. Job Summary: The Marketing and Communications Assistant will assist with the administration and creative duties supporting the communication efforts at Crossroads. The Marketing and Communications Assistant will possess strong technical skills, excellent writing skills, responsive customer-service orientation, an instinct for collaboration, a passion for learning, and a commitment to the Crossroads mission. Supervisory Responsibilities: • None Essential Functions: • Familiarity with electronic design and communications tools., • Strong administrative communications skills., • Assist with the research, development, distribution, and maintenance of all Crossroads print and electronic collateral for use across all platforms., • Assist with webpage maintenance, ensure that new and consistent information (article links, stories, events and resource pages) is posted regularly., • Organization and maintenance of CRM database for donations and email campaigns., • Assisting in the facilitation of efficient and productive internal and external communications, throughout the organizations entire presence and branding such as working with Public Relations, Employee Recognition pins and other marketing materials etc., • Management of donations using available programs to document, reconcile, and encourage contributions to the organization., • Assist in online communications through website development, web listings management, social media engagement, basic data entry, etc., • Contribute to media content development and organization for all printed and digital materials for utilization throughout all platforms., • Assist the Community Outreach Manager with community engagement to establish resources, relationships, promotion opportunities and attend regularly scheduled podcast taping and uploads to YouTube., • Performs other duties, as required. Qualifications: • Current CPR/First Aid/Narcan training., • Current and annual negative TB Test., • Current and valid Fingerprint Clearance Card, preferred., • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check performed annually and upon hire, preferred., • Successfully pass a background check and an Arizona Department of Health Services Adult Protective Services check. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Knowledge of Crossroads operations, departments and referral management, preferred., • Ability to work on a team and on an individual level., • Strong self-starter and problem-solving skills., • Strong organizational, process-management, and data-analysis skills., • Ability to write passionately and accurately for various audiences/media platforms. Education & Experience: • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required., • 1-year-related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required., • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Etc.), • Proficient with technology and varies platforms such as: Canva, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Meta Business Suite and YouTube, etc., • Experience with various forms of technology such as: Canon camera, external hard drives and DJI Drone, multi-functional printers, etc., • Experience navigating graphic design/PDF programs to generate marketing materials. Work Environment: • Fast paced behavioral health setting. Physical Demands: • While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit and speak or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and seldom lift and/or move >100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Shift Requirements: • Days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel: • Valid AZ Drivers License., • May include travel between sites and other locations., • Local and statewide travel when requested or required.
