Job DescriptionJob Title: Cable Assembler Job Description The Cable Assembler will build and prepare cables and related electronic components by following detailed process documentation and using both manual and automated tools. This role involves precise cutting, stripping, soldering, and over molding work, as well as applying EMI shielding and performing in-process testing to ensure product compliance. The position requires strong attention to detail, steady hands for medium to high dexterity tasks, and the ability to work efficiently during 10-hour shifts in a modern, collaborative production environment. Responsibilities • Cut and strip wires using both manual methods and automatic equipment and tools, ensuring accuracy and consistency., • Prepare wires and components according to detailed process documentation written in English., • Perform soldering on small wires and components, often under a microscope, to meet quality and reliability standards., • Carry out over molding operations by applying epoxy and/or using a molding machine as specified in process instructions., • Apply EMI shielding to cables and components in accordance with documented procedures., • Scan and test products throughout the assembly process to verify compliance with required specifications and quality standards., • Read and use a ruler to perform measurement checks on in-process products and confirm they meet dimensional requirements., • Follow step-by-step process documentation precisely, maintaining focus and consistency on every build., • Handle and solder sensitive electronic components while wearing required ESD protection such as bracelets and jackets., • Work 10-hour shifts, four days per week (Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), with optional Friday work as needed., • Maintain a clean and organized work area and use hand tools and assembly equipment safely and correctly., • Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues, defects, or process deviations to appropriate personnel.Essential Skills, • Ability to read and follow detailed process documentation written in English., • Ability to cut, strip, and prepare wires using manual and automatic equipment and tools., • Proficiency in soldering small wires and electronic components, including work under a microscope., • Experience with cable assembly and working with PCB boards or similar electronic assemblies., • Ability to read and use a ruler accurately for measurement checks on in-process product., • Capability to perform medium to high dexterity tasks repeatedly throughout a full shift., • Strong focus and attention to detail to follow documented processes step by step, every time., • Ability to work 10-hour shifts, four days per week (Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), with flexibility for optional Friday work., • Comfort working with ESD-sensitive electronics while wearing an ESD bracelet and jacket., • Experience using basic hand tools in an assembly or mechanical assembly environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Background in mechanical assembly, cable assembly, or related electronic assembly work., • Experience in a production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment., • Familiarity with EMI shield application and over molding processes using epoxy or molding machines., • Comfort working in a small team environment within a growing organization., • Willingness to learn new tools, equipment, and processes as the operation expands.Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work in a modern, newly built facility with a start-up atmosphere and a small, collaborative team of approximately 25 employees, including 6–7 people in the warehouse. The role is onsite and follows a four-day workweek schedule of 10-hour shifts from Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with Friday work available on an optional basis. The environment involves hands-on work with cables, PCB boards, and electronic components, using hand tools, automatic cutting and stripping equipment, microscopes for fine soldering, molding machines, and ESD protection such as bracelets and jackets when handling sensitive electronics. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scottsdale, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
