Job DescriptionJob Title: Experienced Painting Coach Company: Paint of WNY Location: Buffalo, NY Employment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Painting Coach to join our commercial and residential painting company. This role is responsible for training new and existing team members in proper painting techniques, safety standards, surface preparation, equipment use, and company culture. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with extensive field experience who is passionate about mentoring others and elevating craftsmanship across the organization. Key Responsibilities • Train new hires in residential and commercial painting techniques, processes, and company standards, • Conduct hands-on and classroom-style training sessions, • Demonstrate proper surface preparation, priming, painting, staining, and finishing techniques, • Educate crews on product knowledge, including paints, coatings, tools, and equipment, • Ensure adherence to OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols, • Monitor job sites to evaluate workmanship and provide constructive feedback, • Develop training materials, checklists, and skill assessments, • Mentor painters to improve efficiency, quality, and professional development, • Support crew leaders in maintaining consistent workmanship standards Field Work/Hands-on training: 75% Admin: 25% Qualifications • 10+ years of professional painting experience (residential and commercial required), • Proven leadership or training experience preferred, • Strong knowledge of surface prep, spray applications, brush/roll techniques, and specialty coatings, • Solid understanding of safety regulations and job site compliance, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Ability to demonstrate techniques clearly and provide hands-on instruction, • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, • Strong attention to detail, • Jobsite organization, • High standards for craftsmanship and quality control, • Patient, supportive teaching style, • Organized and able to develop structured training programs, • Competitive salary (based on experience), • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (if applicable), • Health benefits, • Retirement Plan, • Paid time off, • Opportunities for career growth and leadership advancement, • Supportive, team-oriented work environment Job Posted by ApplicantPro
