Providence Hall is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Elementary (K-5) Instructional Coach to join our team. As an Instructional Coach, you collaborate with a dynamic team of professional teachers and leaders as we strive to provide rich, immersive experiences to our students. Schedule: • 8 hours/day on scheduled teaching/working days, • The 5-7 days before the scheduled start date of the school year, • Department, building, and LEA professional development, trainings and meetings Position Summary: The Instructional & Behavioral Coach serves as a key driver of both instructional excellence and the Behavioral System of Support (BSS) at Providence Hall Elementary. This role focuses on: • Strengthening Tier 1 classroom instruction and management, • Leading and supporting Tier 2 behavioral systems and interventions, • Coaching teachers through data-informed practices, • Ensuring consistency, fidelity, and alignment across instructional and behavioral systems, • The coach works closely with administration, teachers, and support staff to build teacher capacity, improve student outcomes, and ensure that all students receive the level of support they need. Tier 1 Instructional & Classroom Systems (Universal Supports) • Coach teachers on effective Tier 1 classroom management systems, • Support implementation of clear expectations, routines, and transitions, • Observe classrooms and provide targeted, actionable feedback, • Model lessons and instructional strategies aligned to curriculum, • Support student engagement strategies and differentiation, • Assist with data-driven instructional planning (MTSS alignment), • Lead and support Tier 2 behavioral systems implementation, • Facilitate and support:, • Check-In/Check-Out (CICO) systems, • 2x10 relationship strategies, • 3P Framework (Problem, Plan, Progress Monitoring), • Support teachers in identifying students for Tier 2 based on data, • Help design and monitor behavior intervention plans at Tier 2, • Ensure progress monitoring systems are implemented and used consistently, • Participate in and help facilitate Tier 2 data review meetings, • Provide coaching to teachers on:, • Function of behavior (behavior as communication), • Matching interventions to student need, • Support teachers in collecting and using:, • Behavior data, • Academic data, • Engagement data, • Assist in identifying patterns and trends across classrooms, • Support implementation of data review cycles (weekly/bi-weekly), • Guide teachers in using data to:, • Identify students needing support, • Monitor progress, • Adjust interventions, • Provide ongoing coaching through:, • Classroom observations, • Feedback cycles, • Modeling and co-teaching, • Build teacher capacity in:, • Classroom management, • Behavior intervention strategies, • Differentiation and engagement, • Support teachers in problem-solving challenging student behaviors, • Facilitate opportunities for teachers to observe effective practice, • Support Administration in responding to incidents involving students who are escalated and recording data to use when meeting with teachers to plan interventions, • Act as a bridge between:, • Teachers, • Administration, • Counselors, • Behavioral Intervention Systems, • Ensure alignment between MTSS (academic) and BSS (behavioral) systems, • Support documentation and communication related to interventions, • Support teachers in effective communication with:, • Families, • Support staff, • Administration, • Assist with communication related to:, • Behavior concerns, • Interventions and supports, • Participate in and support schoolwide professional development, • Attend relevant trainings in:, • Instructional coaching, • PBIS / MTSS, • Behavior systems and interventions, • Support onboarding and training of new teachers, • Strong understanding of Tier 1 classroom management systems, • Working knowledge of Tier 2 behavioral interventions (CICO, 3P, etc.), • Ability to analyze and use data to inform decisions, • Skill in coaching adults and providing feedback, • Understanding of behavior as communication, • Ability to balance support and accountability, • Serve as the primary coordinator of Tier 2 behavioral systems, • Ensure consistent implementation of:, • CICO, • 2x10, • 3P Framework, • Monitor intervention fidelity across classrooms, • Track and support Tier movement using data, • Support and help facilitate:, • Tier 2 team meetings, • Data review cycles, • Identify system gaps and bring recommendations to administration, • Help ensure alignment between:, • Instruction (MTSS), • Current valid Utah teaching license in Elementary Education, • Strong knowledge of Utah state standards, • Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience, • Demonstrated strength in classroom management and instruction, • High level organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask easily, • Positive interpersonal skills with the proven ability to maintain professionalism and tact in high-stress situations, • Creative analytical and problem-solving skills, • Professional communication skills including but not limited to: excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident, articulate and professional speaking abilities; empathetic listening; and persuasive speaking, • Knowledge of Google Workspace and its collaboration tools, • Capacity to perform all the responsibilities listed in this posting, • Must pass a comprehensive check of education verification and professional references as a condition of employment, • Lift up to 25 pounds, traverse school facilities, and lead students to safety in the event of an emergency Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement: It is the policy of the Providence Hall Charter School to ensure that all applicants for employment, as well as all employees, be treated impartially without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, national origin, political affiliation, ancestry, or marital status.
