Job Description Job Summary The Electrical Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all electrical construction, installation, and maintenance activities on industrial water and wastewater treatment projects. This role ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, electrical codes, and regulatory requirements. The Electrical Foreman leads crews in the installation of power distribution systems, motor control centers, instrumentation, and control systems critical to water and wastewater facilities. Key Responsibilities • Supervision & Leadership, • Supervise, lead, and coordinate electrical crews on water and wastewater treatment projects, • Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure work aligns with project schedules, • Mentor and train electricians and apprentices on industry-specific systems and best practices, • Enforce safety policies, procedures, and job site standards, • Electrical Installation & Construction, • Oversee installation of MCCs, VFDs, pumps, blowers, power distribution, lighting, grounding systems, and instrumentation, • Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and one-line diagrams, • Coordinate electrical work with mechanical, civil, and controls teams, • Water & Wastewater Systems Support, • Support startup, testing, and commissioning of treatment plant electrical systems, • Troubleshoot electrical issues related to treatment processes and equipment, • Ensure compliance with industry standards for municipal and industrial facilities, • Safety, Quality & Compliance, • Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, NFPA, and local electrical codes, • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHAs) and safety briefings, • Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control, • Assist with inspections and documentation, • Project Coordination & Reporting, • Communicate progress, material needs, and issues to project management, • Track labor hours, productivity, and material usage, • Assist with scheduling subcontractors and vendors, • Participate in project meetings Required Qualifications • Education & Experience, • Journeyman Electrician license, • 7+ years of industrial electrical experience, • 2–3 years in a supervisory or Leadman role, • Water and/or wastewater treatment experience preferred, • Technical Skills, • Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and controls, • Experience with MCCs, PLC interfaces, and instrumentation, • Ability to read construction documents and specifications, • Proficient with testing and troubleshooting tools, • Safety & Certifications, • OSHA 30, • Valid driver’s license, • CPR/First Aid, • Skills & Competencies, • Strong leadership and communication skills, • Detail-oriented and safety-focused, • Strong problem-solving abilities, • Ability to work in industrial environments Work Environment • Industrial construction and treatment plant environments. May include confined spaces, wet conditions, elevated work areas, and overtime or weekend work as required., • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks as required., • May require participation in after-hours emergency repairs.
