Job Description Operations Manager Company: Alvand Transportation Location: Sun Valley, CA Position: Full-time Transportation Operations Manager About Us: Alvand Transportation is recognized as the fastest-growing and most professional transportation company in Southern California. We are currently seeking a responsible, dedicated, and proactive individual to join our team as a Transportation Operations Manager. Responsibilities: Operations Management: • Oversee the daily operations of the transportation department, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes., • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve service quality and operational efficiency., • Supervise and provide guidance to the team of motor coach operators and support staff., • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities., • Manage the maintenance and repair schedule for the fleet of motor coaches, ensuring all vehicles are in safe and operational condition., • Coordinate with maintenance staff and external vendors for timely and cost-effective repairs., • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner to ensure high standards of customer service are maintained., • Ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and other applicable laws., • Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures to minimize risk and ensure the safety of passengers and staff., • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions. Financial Management: • Develop and manage the transportation department budget, ensuring cost control and efficient resource allocation., • Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality., • Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans for the transportation department., • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion of services., • Bachelor's degree in Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field., • Minimum of 8 years experience in transportation operations management or a similar role., • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation industry standards., • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills., • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays., • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities., • Experience in managing a fleet of motor coaches or similar vehicles., • Certification in transportation or logistics management., • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings., • Capable of conducting vehicle inspections and visiting maintenance facilities., • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses., • 401(k) retirement plan with company match., • Comprehensive health insurance coverage., • Paid training and professional development opportunities., • Full-time position with flexibility for occasional weekend and holiday work as needed.
