Job DescriptionJob Title: Medical Representative (Fargo, ND) Job Description The Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team is dedicated to protecting the health, safety, and well-being of all onsite personnel. As an Onsite Medical Representative (OMR), you will provide first aid, health guidance, and safety support to associates, while partnering closely with the WHS site manager, WHS specialist, and Injury Prevention Specialist. You will independently assess and treat occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, support case management and return-to-work programs, and actively promote health and wellness principles in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities • Independently assess, administer, and document first aid care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses., • Provide first aid support and make timely referrals to outside medical providers when needed., • Minimize associate risk of injury through proactive awareness, education, and engagement on safe work practices., • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all care provided to associates., • Coordinate and maintain workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs for associates with work-related injuries., • Prepare and submit daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports to support WHS operations and case management., • Engage regularly with associates and onsite leadership on the operations floor to coach and correct observed at-risk work habits., • Maintain a clean, organized medical workspace and ensure appropriate inventory and readiness of medical supplies., • Participate in and support training and certification activities for first aid, CPR, and AED classes., • Maintain all required first aid, CPR, AED, and Basic Life Support credentials in good standing., • Support and assist with random saliva drug testing protocols in accordance with site procedures., • Deliver effective care in emergency situations and assist with onsite emergency response efforts., • Attend weekly associate safety committee meetings and participate in weekly case management review meetings as needed., • Greet and engage with new hires to introduce health, safety, and wellness resources available at the site., • Collaborate with WHS team members to support overall safety operations and continuous improvement initiatives., • Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach while performing job duties., • Stand and walk for up to 12 hours during shifts in an active industrial environment., • Work in areas with variable noise levels, temperatures, and weather conditions, including outside loading departments where applicable., • Continuously climb and descend stairs at sites where stairs are present., • Work flexible shifts, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends, to support 24/7 operations.Essential Skills, • High school diploma or equivalent., • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) provider., • Current valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic certification from the Department of Health or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), OR, • Recent job experience within the last 18 months in the U.S. military as a Combat Medic, Field Medic, Healthcare Specialist, Hospital Corpsman, or Aerospace Medical Service Technician., • Ability to obtain an adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 3 weeks of start date if not already held., • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach., • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shift in an industrial environment., • Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Certified to teach First Aid, CPR, and AED training through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross., • Current Athletic Trainer certification certified by the Board of Certification (BOC) or equivalent state program., • Experience working in an industrial wellness or occupational health program., • Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), ergonomics, and coaching on proper body mechanics., • Demonstrated work experience with OSHA regulations and workers’ compensation processes., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting., • Proficiency in digital record keeping and electronic documentation systems., • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coach, educate, and build trust with associates and leadership., • Demonstrated ability to remain calm, organized, and effective in emergency and high-pressure situations.Work Environment This role is based onsite in an industrial operations facility in Fargo, ND, supporting a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Shifts may follow a schedule such as 18:30–05:00 and require flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. You will spend much of your time on your feet, standing and walking for up to 12 hours per shift, and frequently lifting up to 49 pounds, as well as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs where present. The facility includes warehouse and loading areas where noise levels and temperatures can vary, and some work may occur in areas exposed to outdoor weather conditions. You will work in a dedicated medical space that you help keep clean, organized, and fully stocked with medical supplies, while frequently interacting on the operations floor with associates, safety teams, and leadership. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fargo, ND. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
