Job Description The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing and executing core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, benefits coordination, and compliance. This role is ideal for someone who is both strategic and hands‐on, comfortable in a small-company environment, and able to build structure from the ground up. Obligations and Responsibilities: Performance Management & HR Processes ‣ Support the implementation and administration of performance review cycles. ‣ Assist in establishing and refining HR processes (e.g., onboarding, offboarding, promotions, compensation changes). ‣ Provide basic HR data and reports (headcount, turnover, time‐off summaries, etc.) to leadership. Recruitment & Onboarding ‣ Partner with CoS on talent strategy, especially for recruiting, retention, and succession planning. ‣ Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, compensation, and interview plans. ‣ Coordinate and execute new hire onboarding, including paperwork, systems access, orientation. ‣ Manage onboarding of new hires. HR Administration & Records ‣ Maintain accurate and up‐to‐date employee records (digital and/or physical) in HR systems. ‣ Manage HR documentation, including employment agreements, policy acknowledgments, and disciplinary records. ‣ Oversee payroll process by preparing and validating employee data (time off, new hires, terminations, salary changes) for processing. Employee Relations & Culture ‣ Serve as a first point of contact for employee HR questions and concerns, escalating as needed. ‣ Support managers with performance discussions, feedback conversations, and basic employee relations issues. ‣ Help plan and coordinate team events, engagement initiatives, and recognition programs. Compliance & Policy Management ‣ Ensure HR practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. ‣ Maintain and update the employee handbook, HR policies, and procedures. ‣ Coordinate mandatory trainings (e.g., harassment prevention, safety) and maintain compliance documentation. Benefits & Leave Administration ‣ Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and employee questions (health, dental, vision, 401(k), etc., as applicable). ‣ Coordinate leave of absence requests (PTO, sick leave, parental leave, other statutory leaves) and track accruals where applicable. ‣ Support the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment process. Relationship, Interdependency, Supervisory Responsibilities: ‣ Non-supervisory related duties. ‣ Independent work with minimal supervision. Other Requirements: Education ‣ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Knowledge, Skills, Abilities ‣ 2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist role. ‣ Solid understanding of core HR functions (recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, and compliance). ‣ Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations. ‣ Strong attention to detail, organizational, and follow‐through skills. ‣ Experience with the ADP Workforce Now platform is a plus. ‣ Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Language Requirements ‣ Excellent written and verbal proficiency in professional business English. Travel Requirements ‣ Willingness to spend five percent of working hours traveling locally for tasks related to obligations. Physical Requirements ‣ Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. ‣ Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
