JOB DESCRIPTION The Accounts Receivable Clerk supports daytoday accounts receivable operations under the direction of the Accounts Receivable Manager. This role focuses on customer account maintenance, cash application, collections support, and AR reporting assistance. This is a detailoriented, operational role based in Nashville, TN that requires a majority inoffice presence to support close collaboration with Accounting, Operations, and customerfacing teams. Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas Customer Account Support • Assist with new customer setup and maintenance of customer records, • Ensure customer information, billing details, and payment terms are accurate, • Support updates to credit terms as directed by the AR Manager Cash Applications • Apply customer payments accurately and timely (ACH, wire, check, credit card), • Match payments to invoices and resolve unapplied cash items, • Assist with researching shortpays, overpayments, and payment discrepancies Collections Support • Assist with outbound collection efforts on pastdue accounts, • Send payment reminders and followups per established collections procedures, • Document collection activity and customer communications Reporting & AR Maintenance • Assist in preparing AR aging reports and customer statements, • Help track payment activity and support reporting requests, • Maintain accurate and organized AR documentation Month-End Close Support • Assist with ARrelated monthend close tasks, • Support reconciliations and ensure receivable balances are properly supported, • Help ensure revenue and cash receipts are recorded in the correct period General Support & Controls • Maintain organized files and supporting documentation, • Follow established internal controls and procedures, • Escalate issues or unusual items to the AR Manager, • Provide general accounting support as needed Qualifications Core Competencies • 1–3 years of accounts receivable, billing, or general accounting experience, • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, • Basic understanding of customer payments and receivables, • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, • Strong communication and organizational skills Preferred Skills • Experience in a projectbased, services, staffing, or payroll environment, • Familiarity with cash application and AR aging, • This role is primarily in-office at RockForce's Nashville, TN location., • Close collaboration with Accounts Receivable, Accounting, Operations, and Sales teams, • Occasional extended hours during monthend close or highvolume periods Location: 3 days in-office (Whites Creek, TN) WHY ROCKFORCE We don't just staff events - we build careers.
