Job Description In the role of Project Manager, you will be a high-energy, detail-oriented, and confident professional with a strong interest in manufacturing technology and a drive to succeed. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the production process from design through installation of material lifting equipment, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple functional groups are essential. This role involves close collaboration with internal engineering, operations, and project teams, as well as external vendors and customers, to successfully execute material lifting equipment projects from initial concept and design through final commissioning. Delivering projects on time and within budget will be the primary measures of success. Key Responsibilities • Lead the planning, production, and implementation of material lifting equipment projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery, • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to meet defined milestones, • Coordinate with stakeholders (customers, subcontractors, and vendors) to define project scope and requirements, • Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and technical specifications, • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle, • Provide engineering support for material lifting equipment design, including mechanical, electrical, and structural considerations, • Review and interpret technical specifications, design drawings, and schematics, • Collaborate with design teams to ensure effective integration of components and systems, • Oversee installation activities to ensure alignment with design specifications and project requirements, • Manage the commissioning process, including testing, troubleshooting, and verification of operational performance, • Provide technical guidance and oversight to on-site teams during installation and commissioning phases, • Ensure all projects comply with applicable industry standards and OSHA guidelines, • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle, • Prepare and submit project documentation, including technical reports, compliance certificates, and test results, • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing regular project updates and resolving issues as they arise Knowledge & Experience • Minimum of 3–5 years of project management experience, preferably within industrial manufacturing, material handling, or material lifting equipment environments, • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred, • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and customer coordination, • Strong understanding of industrial material lifting equipment design, including structural, mechanical, and electrical systems, • Familiarity with applicable industry standards and regulations (ASME, ANSI, OSHA, etc.), • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and lead, • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, • Excellent interpersonal skills for working with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders, • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality results, • Experience with estimating and technical exposure to metal fabrication and/or machining, • Working knowledge of CAD for processing customer drawings for quoting purposes preferred, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), • Site visits, field inspections, and collaboration with construction and installation teams may be required The Industrial Manufacturing Company is an equal opportunity employer.
