RONDO THERAPEUTICS OPERATIONS MANAGER (FULL-TIME, SALARY POSITION) Rondo Therapeutics is a privately held biotechnology company committed to advancing the field of immuno-oncology with a focus on treating solid tumors that fail to respond to current therapies. Position summary We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and adaptable Operations Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our growing, dynamic team. This individual will play a central role in overseeing lab operations, facilities, and office management. The ideal candidate brings exceptional communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key responsibilities: Laboratory operations • Oversee the seamless operation of laboratory activities, including vendor and inventory management, procurement of equipment and consumables, coordination of equipment repair and maintenance, and managing gas supply (CO2, LN2)., • Support lab planning and space optimization; coordinate with research staff to improve lab processes (e.g. cloud backup of data from lab equipment)., • Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S): Monitor and maintain safety compliance procedures, including chemical inventory, spill kits, earthquake straps, SDS management, and lab safety audits. Coordinate with leadership and staff to uphold EH&S policies and training., • Serve as primary contact for facility and office infrastructure needs, including HVAC issues, security access, and building maintenance., • Maintain facility permits and coordinate required inspections., • Manage relationships with lab facility providers and coordinate logistics for vendor services, maintenance, and cleaning., • Ensure office, break room, and lab environments are well-stocked, organized, and supportive of employee productivity., • Manage IT needs, including vendor communication, helpdesk coordination, device inventory, and license renewals., • Assist with finance operations such as invoice processing, expense tracking, and coordination with accounting service providers., • Support administrative HR tasks including job posting, onboarding/offboarding, I-9 verification, immigration tracking, performance evaluation and goals setting logistics., • Proactively support and foster employee engagement through activities such as holiday decorations, potlucks, team-building events, and company swag., • Coordinate meetings and other corporate events; organize and order meeting refreshments and lunches., • Conduct quarterly check-ins with each C-suite member to understand operational needs and provide proactive support., • Coordinate and track time-sensitive or confidential initiatives on behalf of executive leadership., • Perform other related duties as requested. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in biological sciences or related discipline, • 5+ years of experience in operations, including 3+ years in biotech or life sciences industry, • Knowledge of lab operations and EH&S requirements in a scientific environment, • Experience with HR processes, finance coordination, and IT support in a small to mid-sized company, • Intermediate to advanced computer skills and software application proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, • Experience administering online, cloud-based applications (i.e. Zoom, DocuSign); familiarity with Cloud based sharing and storage (i.e. SharePoint, Box), • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively across all levels of the organization, with a self-starter mindset and strong multitasking skills., • Excellent organizational, communication and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail, • Resourceful problem solver with the ability to manage shifting priorities, • Exceptional work ethic, professional and “can-do” attitude Consider joining our team At Rondo Therapeutics we believe that our success as a company starts with building a culture based on teamwork, mutual trust, a focus on career growth, and a sense of fun.
