Job DescriptionManufacturing and Scheduling Manager Status: Full-time - 90-Day Contract Classification: Exempt Salary Range: 80k-90k/yearly General Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:30am - 4:30pm, occasional work on weekends. Position Summary The Manufacturing and Scheduling Manager schedules and coordinates the flow of work within the manufacturing plant to expedite production. This position reports to the VP of Operations and works closely with all members of the team. Essential Functions • Own and maintain the master production schedule to meet customer delivery, labor capacity, and material constraints, • Provide daily, hands-on leadership to hourly manufacturing employees, including work assignments, coaching, and accountability, • Conduct daily production meetings and communicate priorities, expectations, and schedule changes clearly to the team, • Monitor labor efficiency, attendance, and throughput; take corrective action when performance does not meet expectations, • Coordinate with Operations, Purchasing, Sales, and Engineering to resolve production constraints and priorities, • Develop, document, and maintain clear manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure repeatable, high-quality output, • Establish and enforce in-process and final Quality Control checks to ensure products meet standards the first time, • Investigate quality issues and production inefficiencies using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions, • Lead and execute manufacturing improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity, • Ensure accurate and timely work order execution within the ERP system, • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment, • Own the manufacturing and scheduling components of the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, ensuring alignment between demand, capacity, inventory, and execution, • Serve as the primary manufacturing communication point to peer departments, ensuring timely, clear, and accurate communication regarding capacity, schedules, constraints, and execution risks Additional Job Responsibilities • Be available to work flexible hours as necessary, • Special projects and other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: • This position provides daytoday leadership and direction to manufacturing employees and may assist with training, performance feedback, and accountability. Key Performance Indicators • Safety incident rate and adherence to safety standards, • Labor cost performance versus budget, • Manufacturing defect rate and first-pass yield, • Production schedule adherence and schedule stability, • On-Time Delivery (OTD) greater than 97%, • Accuracy and timeliness of production reporting in ERP system, • SOP creation, completion, and adherence, • Year-over-year manufacturing productivity improvements Required Education and Experience • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with direct responsibility for production scheduling and floor execution, • Experience owning or heavily contributing to quality control processes and defect reduction efforts, • Proven ability to execute manufacturing improvements related to productivity, labor efficiency, quality, or delivery, • Comfortable working in an ERP/MRP environment and partnering in system implementation or optimization Preferred Education • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business Working Environment • This position generally works in a well-lit and heated production setting with adequate ventilation., • General schedule is Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:30pm., • Occasional work on weekends Note: This position is contingent upon a successful background and motor vehicle check.
