Job DescriptionSalary: $100,000-$110,000 annually JOB DESCRIPTION: SENIOR OPERATIONS MANAGER Employment Status: Full-Time, Exempt Department: Operations Reports To: Director of Operations Starting Rate: $100,000-$110,000 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00AM-3:00PM Summary: The Senior Operations Manager is a critical leadership role focused on increasing production throughput, improving yield, and building the systems that enable scalable, efficient operations. This person will own the development and implementation of production SOPs, training programs, and performance management systems, creating the structure and accountability needed to support a growing manufacturing organization. This role does not have routine floor coverage responsibilities; instead, it is focused on operational leadership, process optimization, and team development. The Senior Operations Manager will oversee production, kitchen and sanitation leadership to improve performance, strengthen organizational depth, and ensure the team has the tools, training, and systems needed to succeed. What Youll Do: Drive operational performance and process improvement • Own initiatives to increase throughput, improve yield, and reduce operational inefficiencies, • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including line efficiency, downtime, and labor utilization, • Identify process gaps and implement sustainable solutions to improve productivity and consistency, • Support cost management through efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment, • Own SOPs, training, and operational systems, • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of all production SOPs and SSOPs, • Build and maintain structured onboarding and training programs for production team members and leaders, • Ensure processes are documented, repeatable, and aligned with quality and food safety standards, • Partner with QA and Production leadership to maintain compliance with all operational and regulatory requirements Strengthen leadership capability and organizational depth • Coach, support, and develop production supervisors and managers, • Help build leadership capability, accountability, and consistency across the production organization, • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, staffing, and organizational structure, • Support operational coordination and administrative functions (as capacity allows), • Provide support for production scheduling, inventory coordination, and operational planning, • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient execution of production plans, • Help ensure alignment between production, quality, maintenance, sanitation, and administrative functions Who Were Looking For: Core experience and qualifications • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing, • 2+ years of leadership experience supervising managers, supervisors, or production teams, • Demonstrated experience improving operational performance, efficiency, or throughput, • Experience developing or implementing SOPs, training programs, or operational systems, • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and process improvement skills, • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment Technical and leadership strengths • Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and improve performance, • Experience managing KPIs, operational metrics, and production efficiency, • Working knowledge of manufacturing systems, labor planning, and cost management, • Familiarity with food safety and quality systems (GFSI/SQF, HACCP, or similar preferred), • Experience with Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence principles preferred, • Strong communication skills and ability to influence across teams Work environment and expectations • Full-time, salaried role, • Typical schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 5:00AM-3:00PM, • This role requires regular on-site presence and the flexibility to work additional hours as needed to support operational priorities Physical Requirements and Working Environment: The position has oversight of production team positions within a food manufacturing environment which may at times require the following: • Ability to come in contact with allergens including but not limited to nuts, dairy, gluten, and latex., • Work with automated and semi-automated ice cream equipment (continuous freezer, packaging equipment, liquid nitrogen tunnel, etc.)., • Work with manual and powered lifts., • Work with manual and power tools (box knife, hammer, drill, etc)., • Work with hazardous chemicals., • Stand, walk and lift for long periods of time throughout a shift., • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs., • Work periodically in a cold storage environment.
