We are looking for a Vice President of Retail Operations to join us in advancing the industry forward. Role OverviewAs the Vice President, Retail Operations, you will serve as the strategic leader responsible for optimizing operational excellence across the retail channel. Acting as a key liaison between the retail field and HQ functions, you will champion initiatives that enhance workforce efficiency, leverage technology, and unlock scalable performance improvements. This role is instrumental in evolving how our stores operate - today and in the future. This is a Los Angeles based position. Key Responsibilities Strategic Retail Operations Leadership • Set the vision for Retail Operations, aligning operational strategy with broader business objectives., • Develop and implement scalable processes that ensure exceptional in-store execution, consistency, and operational excellence., • Act as the primary point of strategic support for the retail field organization, ensuring agility and responsiveness across all tiers of the business. Cross-Functional Partnership, • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Technology, HR, Finance, Merchandising, and Supply Chain to drive aligned initiatives across the retail channel., • Serve as the conduit between HQ functions and stores to ensure the successful execution of corporate strategies on the retail floor. Retail Labor Strategy, • Own and evolve the retail labor strategy, balancing cost efficiency with high service standards and workforce engagement., • Lead labor modeling, forecasting, scheduling optimization, and productivity enhancements., • Introduce tools, analytics, and performance tracking to drive accountability and results. Technology & Systems Enablement, • Partner with internal tech teams and external vendors to identify and implement technology solutions that improve retail execution, store communication, and employee experience., • Evaluate and lead the rollout of new tools and platforms (e.g., task management, scheduling systems, mobile POS, etc.) to improve store performance and reduce friction. Continuous Improvement & Innovation, • Champion a culture of continuous improvement through structured feedback loops with retail field leadership., • Identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies, then lead cross-functional teams in implementing solutions., • Develop and maintain an innovation roadmap for retail operations, prioritizing initiatives with high ROI and business impact. New Store Openings (NSO), • Lead the New Store Opening (NSO) team to ensure flawless, on-time, and on-budget execution of new locations across all markets., • Optimize NSO processes, partnering cross-functionally with Real Estate, Design, Merchandising, HR, and Technology., • Coordinate across departments to ensure operational readiness from Day one., • Own the channel budget, including labor planning, store operating expenses, and strategic initiatives., • Drive top-line revenue growth by identifying and executing sales-driving initiatives across the retail network (e.g., store layout optimization, pricing strategy, conversion opportunities)., • Partner with Finance, Planning , and Data and Analytics to support robust forecasting, margin analysis, and operational performance reporting., • Partner with Planning, Merchandising, and Supply Chain to ensure optimal inventory levels, stock flow, and in-store availability., • Lead operational execution of inventory accuracy initiatives, cycle counts, and shrink reduction programs., • Support technology implementation and process improvements to improve real-time inventory visibility, reduce out-of-stocks, and increase sell-through.Team Development, • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of leaders to deliver exceptional results., • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across the organization.Ways of Working, • This is a hands-on, high-impact role within a fast-paced and rapidly evolving organization. As SKIMS continues to expand into physical retail, agility and adaptability are essential., • This is not a traditional 9-to-5 position — flexibility is critical to meet the needs of our global and growing business., • The role will require travel to store locations, openings, and operational reviews., • Some on-call availability may be required, particularly during key launches, events, or operational escalations., • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in retail operations, • Proven success in managing multi-location retail operations in a fast-paced and rapidly growing environment., • Expertise in retail technology, customer engagement strategies, and operational best practices., • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions., • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills., • Passion for the SKIMS brand and a commitment to delivering unparalleled customer experiences., • Experience in Looker or other BI systems, Excel and RFID technology.
