Job Description Job title: AV / IT Support Specialist Location: Tallahassee Florida Type: Contract – Onsite Rate: $25/hr on W2 Position Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Audio Visual (AV) Technician with strong IT support experience to support enterprise environments, conference rooms, and digital collaboration platforms. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on expertise in AV installation, video conferencing systems, and Tier 2 IT support. The AV Technician will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio-visual systems, Microsoft Teams Rooms, digital signage, and end-user computing devices. This role also includes supporting IT infrastructure such as workstations, peripherals, and network-connected devices, ensuring seamless operations in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: AV Systems Installation & Support • Install, configure, and support audio-visual systems including projectors, microphones, video conferencing systems, displays, and sound equipment, • Set up and support Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom, and other collaboration platforms, • Maintain and troubleshoot digital signage and AV control systems, • Provide Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and AV-related issues, • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving PCs, peripherals, printers, and network devices, • Monitor and manage Service Desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution, • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections of AV and IT equipment, • Coordinate repairs, vendor support, and warranty services, • Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables, • Support AV and IT-related projects, including installations and upgrades, • Create and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and support logs, • Provide training and guidance to end users on AV equipment usage, • Work closely with IT teams, stakeholders, and vendors, • Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to non-technical users, • Support live events and provide on-site technical assistance, including after-hours support when required Required Skills/Education: Required Experience: • Hands-on experience with AV systems installation and support (projectors, displays, conferencing tools, sound systems), • Strong experience with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and video conferencing technologies, • Experience providing Tier 2 IT support in enterprise environments, • Knowledge of PC hardware, operating systems, and LAN/WAN networking fundamentals, • Strong troubleshooting skills across AV equipment and IT systems, • Experience with Service Desk tools and ticket management systems, • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and Outlook, • Familiarity with networked devices, printers, and USB peripherals, • High School Diploma or equivalent required, • Additional technical or vocational training in Audio Visual or IT support preferred Preferred Qualifications: • Experience supporting enterprise AV environments or large conference room deployments, • Knowledge of digital signage platforms and AV control systems, • Experience with hardware diagnostics, firmware updates, and system integrations, • Strong project coordination and documentation skills About Seneca Resources At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm, we are a trusted career partner.
