Position Summary The Project Coordinator acts as a central point of communication between the Project Management team, customers, subcontractors, and internal departments to help ensure projects are planned and executed efficiently. This role will assist in resolving issues and monitoring progress to minimize disruptions and keep work on schedule and within budget. This position is also responsible for assisting with the maintenance of accurate project documentation, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and collaborating closely with shipyard teams to ensure quality, safety, and operational efficiency. Domestic and international travel may be required. Essential Functions • Support Project Managers in executing client initiatives using project management best practices, providing project status updates to leadership, and extending implementation support., • Monitor and ensure consistency of project workspaces, keeping teams accountable with project documentation, accurate artifacts, and completion of projects., • Participate in meetings with customers, production leads, and the project team to ensure portfolio activities and project tasks are executed effectively., • Compile lessons learned from project phases into the Project Management Tool, managing follow-up action plans contributing to the implementation of improvements in standard processes and solutions., • Other duties as assignedRequirements:, • Must have a full understanding of Marine Regulatory standards and NAVSEA Standard Items., • Must understand shipyard operations with ship repair and project management methodologies, including business processes, standards, and testing requirements., • Must have strong analytical skills with the ability to adapt to changing environments and proactively identify and resolve issues., • Ability to work independently and in a team, demonstrating integrity, accountability, and professionalism., • Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite computer skills, • Must have strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills, • Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor, • Associate degree, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience., • 5 Years of progressive experience with complex work in project or production management within ship repair required.
