Job DescriptionCEI is seeking a Data Tosca QA Analyst to join our growing organization & support one of our largest Healthcare / Dental Insurance clients!Client/Industry: CEI – IT Solutions/Consulting and Professional Services | (Healthcare / Dental Insurance) Job Title: Data Tosca QA Analysts (2 openings) Location: Fully Remote Work Schedule/Shift: Monday to Friday, Standard business hours | Minimum expectation of ~40 work hours per week. Duration/Length of Assignment: 6+ month W2 contract through 12/31 (potential for extensions) Compensation: $45 - $55+ per hour | Benefits available (optional) [Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) match] Additional Info: Supporting CMS Project – Data Space initiative with multiple Tosca Data QA resourcesPosition Overview: This position is part of a CMS-focused Data Space initiative supporting enterprise data platforms within a healthcare environment. The role is centered on ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data across complex systems through structured testing and validation processes. The team consists of QA analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders working collaboratively to support large-scale data integration, migration, and reporting efforts. This role operates within a structured QA function, partnering closely with technical and business teams while contributing to a broader data quality and compliance initiative. From a high-level perspective, this role is responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining automated and manual testing processes that validate data pipelines and enterprise data systems. The individual will be expected to support end-to-end testing efforts, ensure data consistency across systems, and contribute to defect tracking and resolution processes. The role requires strong collaboration across teams, participation in planning and review sessions, and ongoing validation of data transformations and system outputs to support business-critical reporting and analytics. Required Skills/Experience/Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, • 3–5 years of QA/testing experience with at least 2 years using Tricentis Tosca, • Proven experience in data testing, ETL validation, or data warehouse testing, • Hands-on experience testing data integration projects, • Proficiency in Tosca Commander, Tosca Executor, and test case design, • Experience with Tosca modules including TBox, XScan, API testing, and database testing, • Strong SQL skills with ability to write complex queries for data validation (joins, aggregations, CTEs, stored procedures), • Experience with database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, • Understanding of ETL concepts and data warehouse architectures including star schema & dimensional modeling, • Knowledge of data profiling and data comparison techniques, • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN, • Strong understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC, • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, qTest, or HP ALM, • Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments, • Experience with API testing including REST and SOAP, • Tosca Certification (Automation Specialist Level 1 or Automation Specialist Level 2), • Experience with Tosca Data Integrity (TDI) module, • Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, or Talend, • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, or Google BigQuery, • Experience with performance testing for data loads, • Python or scripting experience for automation, • Exposure to Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Hive, • ISTQB or similar testing certification, • Design and develop automated test cases using Tricentis Tosca to validate data pipelines and ETL workflows, ensuring coverage across integration, regression, and smoke testing scenarios, • Build and maintain reusable test components, modules, and libraries within the Tosca framework to support scalable and repeatable testing efforts, • Execute automated and manual test scenarios to validate data accuracy across source and target systems, including structured validation of transformations and business rules, • Write and execute complex SQL queries to verify data completeness, consistency, and integrity across multiple databases and environments, • Perform detailed validation of ETL processes, including testing aggregations, joins, and transformations within enterprise data workflows, • Validate data loads into data warehouses, data lakes, and reporting systems to ensure alignment with expected outputs and business requirements, • Conduct data reconciliation activities across systems to identify discrepancies and ensure consistency between upstream and downstream data sources, • Support testing for data migration initiatives, ensuring no data loss and confirming accuracy of migrated datasets, • Collaborate with business analysts and data engineers to understand data requirements, define test scenarios, and ensure proper test coverage, • Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on testability, data dependencies, and potential risks within data workflows, • Develop and maintain test plans, test strategies, and execution schedules aligned with project timelines and deliverables, • Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA or HP ALM, including detailed documentation with reproduction steps and SQL validation evidence, • Participate in defect triage sessions, working with development teams to identify root causes and validate fixes, • Generate test reports, dashboards, and metrics to communicate testing progress and data quality outcomes to stakeholders, • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating with business users and ensuring alignment between technical validation and business expectations, • Maintain version control of test assets using tools such as Git or SVN, ensuring proper governance and traceability of testing artifacts, • Integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and automated validation within deployment workflowsAbout Us: CEI is a full-service technology consulting and workforce solutions firm that partners with enterprise organizations to deliver IT services, digital transformation initiatives, and AI-driven solutions.
