The ideal candidate can proactively resolve scheduling issues, monitor system conditions, and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. Summary The Crude Scheduler is responsible for planning and coordinating the onshore movement of crude oil through pipelines, storage terminals, and related logistics networks. This role ensures reliable transportation execution and compliance with pipeline tariffs and commercial agreements while working with producers, operators, and customers across the midstream value chain. Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions -\tSchedule and coordinate the movement of crude oil across interconnected pipeline, gathering, and terminal systems, including batch and operational logistics. -\tPartner with upstream operations to align production volumes with pipeline capacity and delivery schedules. -\tAnalyze system inventories and tank levels; issue daily pump orders to control centers and field locations to maintain system balance. -\tMonitor and update system conditions daily, including inventory levels, batch positions, maintenance activities, and operating constraints. -\tCoordinate crude receipts across multiple locations and support efficient product flow through the system. -\tCommunicate with producers, shippers, and internal stakeholders to manage schedule changes and resolve operational issues. -\tTrack and model crude volumes through tankage and pipelines to ensure appropriate working levels and prevent constraints. -\tSupport product quality by ensuring proper utilization of tankage and adherence to operational standards. -\tCollaborate with pipeline operations and field teams to address maintenance events, disruptions, product losses, and real-time scheduling challenges. -\tPrepare and maintain contingency plans to respond to unplanned operational events, outages, or system constraints. -\tEnsure compliance with pipeline tariffs, service agreements, and company operating procedures. -\tCoordinate with commercial, marketing, and business development teams to support Bison commitments, transportation strategies, and optimization opportunities. -\tIdentify and recommend opportunities to improve transportation efficiency, reduce operating costs, and maximize utilization of company assets. -\tSupport month-end closing activities through inventory validation, volume reconciliation, and coordination with accounting and measurement teams. Core Competencies -\tResponsiveness to Tasks -\tOwnership of Projects -\tHitting Deadlines -\tNew Skill Development -\tTackling New Challenges -\tRelationship Management -\tCross-Functional Collaboration -\tWorking Well with Others Education and Experience (required): -\tBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field. -\t5+ years of experience in crude scheduling, midstream logistics, pipeline operations, or related oil & gas supply chain roles. -\tUnderstanding of upstream production flows, gathering systems, and pipeline/terminal operations. -\tExperience with pipeline nomination systems, scheduling tools, and inventory tracking across interconnected systems. -\tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. -\tProven coordination skills across upstream, midstream, and third-party stakeholders. -\tComfortable working in a fast-paced, real-time logistics environment with changing production and operational conditions. -\tProficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant systems (e.g., SAP, RightAngle, OpenLink, TIPS, or similar). -\tStrong communication skills to support cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners. -\tDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and respond quickly to operational changes. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above. Location This position is located in Denver, Colorado. Candidates currently residing in locations outside of daily commuting distance will be considered, however, it is the expectation that the selected individual will be available at the work location. No relocation or travel assistance will be provided by the Company for this position. Work Environment This position operates in an office environment. This entails working inside in an office space wherein employee may be provided a public work station (cubicle) or private office. From time to time, the role will require field visits where exposure to extreme weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, vibrations, dust, electrical charges and other unforeseen exposures may be encountered. Physical Demands In the performance of the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and view a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time. While at work sites, the employee will be expected to walk and stand. Individuals might be asked to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and/or crawl. Individuals might be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. in the performance of this position. Position Type and Working Hours This is a full-time position. We operate on a 9/80 work schedule. Typical work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on working Fridays. Employee must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and to participate in occasional meetings, events, seminars, conferences, or other activities outside of typical work hours. Employees responsible for project operations are expected to monitor and, in some cases, respond to emails, calls, or texts outside of business hours. Travel Occasional travel to work site locations may be expected. Overnight stays may be required from time to time for training, seminars, field visits, or visits to onsite locations.
