Job Description Overview Support Services Coordinator Location: Nashville, Tennessee Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $62,000-$78,000 annually Reports To: Director of Client Services Benefits: • Health insurance with employer-paid premium, • Dental and Vision coverage, • Over five weeks of PTO in the first year, • 12+ paid holidays annually, • Employee Assistance Program, • Short and Long-Term Disability, • 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan and more As the Support Services Coordinator at Nashville CARES… You’ll lead a team responsible for helping people living with HIV access transportation, nutrition services, walk-in support, and other practical resources that help them stay healthy and engaged in care. This role combines staff supervision, program management, problem-solving, and client support. You’ll supervise a team of four staff, oversee transportation services, provide oversight and backup support for nutrition services, and work closely with staff across the agency to ensure clients receive compassionate, effective services. We’re looking for someone who can balance empathy with accountability, navigate conflict professionally, support staff growth, and stay focused on what best serves clients. What You'll Be Responsible For: Lead Your Team • Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop support services staff, • Conduct hiring, training, performance evaluations, and corrective action when needed, • Set clear expectations and hold staff accountable for performance and service standards, • Help staff build confidence, critical thinking skills, and sound judgment, • Foster a collaborative, respectful team environment Manage Programs • Oversee transportation services, including WeGo bus passes and Access Ride, gas cards, Uber Health, and other transportation resources, • Monitor program budgets, expenditures, inventory, utilization, and compliance, • Prepare documentation for grant billing, reporting, audits, and financial reviews, • Provide oversight and backup support for the CARES Store and nutrition services, • Troubleshoot problems, adapt to changing systems, and improve program operations Support Clients & Agency Operations • Serve as an escalation point for complex client concerns, • Assist staff in finding solutions that balance client needs, program requirements, and available resources, • Provide direct service delivery when needed, • Build strong relationships with staff, community partners, vendors, and funders, • Participate in agency initiatives, quality improvement efforts, and community partnerships Qualifications You'll Need: • Master’s degree required. Equivalent combinations of education, leadership experience, and program management experience may be considered., • Three years of supervisory experience in human services, healthcare, nonprofit management, public health, or a related field, • Experience managing programs, budgets, reporting requirements, and operational processes, • Experience coaching, developing, and holding staff accountable, • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, • Ability to learn and manage multiple software systems, • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile liability insurance Preferred Qualifications: • Experience supervising staff in a human services, healthcare, or nonprofit setting, • Experience managing grant-funded programs, • Experience working with people living with HIV or other medically vulnerable populations, • Experience managing transportation, nutrition, housing, or other practical support programs, • Advanced Excel and program reporting skills Why Consider This Opportunity?
