Job Description Position Purpose: Assist the Advanced/Senior Branch Sales Manager in all responsibilities, with a heavy emphasis on branch queues and warehouse management. Supervisory Authority: This position has supervisory authority over the Branch Showroom Sales Associates and Branch Warehouse Associates. Essential Job Responsibilities and Authority: General Results and Responsibilities • Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service to walk-in and call-in customers., • Maintain business relationships with current customers and expand relationships with key people within each customer organization., • Create sales tickets, bids, quotations, and inquiries and proactively follow up on leads from sale., • Manage branch revenue generation, expansion of customer base/market share, and promotion of company objectives alongside Advanced/Senior Branch Manager., • Support Advanced/Senior Branch Manager in managing branch team performance, PTO, and job duty delegation., • Train, coach on under performance, and document/report incidents., • Ensure end of day branch procedures are accurately executed., • Manage queues daily., • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and manage implementation of same within the branch team., • Assist Advanced/Senior Branch Manager in delegating responsibilities., • Manage branch in the absence of the Advanced/Senior Branch Manager., • Maintain cleanliness and order of warehouse., • Report facility and equipment repair promptly, obtain permission for repairs, and follow-up to make sure repairs are done properly and complete (ex: forklift, pallet jacks, refrigerator, computers)., • Ensure branch team organizes showroom products according to marketing plans to maximize sales., • Promote education and training on product knowledge within the branch team., • Meet daily with Warehouse Associate to delegate warehouse responsibilities and discuss any issues or items to be addressed for the day., • Complete Warehouse Associate quarterly. Education and Experience: Required: • High School Diploma / GED, • Three to Six years store management experience; OR, • 4-8 years of Johnstone Showroom Sales experience; OR, • College degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience., • Demonstrated understanding and application of effective sales strategies and techniques., • Skilled in building long term customer relationships., • Demonstrated competency in budgeting, forecasting and planning., • Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor., • General knowledge of HVAC/R products, concepts and the industry as a whole., • Skilled in proactive communication (both verbal and written) to establish relationships and influence decisions., • Excellent negotiation and objection countering skills, • Skilled in using critical thought to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions., • Strong project management and multi-tasking skills., • Strong leadership, motivation and managerial skills., • Demonstrated skill in developing and implementing business plans and goals., • Knowledge of principles and methods of selling products and services., • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM software., • Ability to manage coworker interactions with tact and diplomacy., • Always keep the company’s best interest in mind., • Consistently work to promote company growth while maintaining ethical standards. Store environment: Most work is performed at the Johnstone Supply sales showroom or in an office environment.
