We are currently seeking Construction Laborers - Operator Assistants to join our team in Tempe, AZ. As a Construction Laborer - Operator Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Truck Operators and CCTV inspection operators with setup at the job site and supporting them throughout the job, which may include driving a support vehicle with equipment. The Laborer will also work effectively with supervisors and peers in the successful rehabilitation and repair of a variety of sewer and storm water lines. This position requires working with minimal oversite while still adhering to instructions closely. We are currently offering a limited-time sign-on bonus of $4,000 for new hires with a valid CDL license, and sign-on bonuses for new hires without a current CDL license are also available at a reduced amount. New employees who meet the criteria outlined in our sign-on bonus program will be eligible for the full payout. The starting pay is $20.00-$22.00 per hour dependent upon experience. Core Duties • Material Handling: Manually load and unload rocks, sand, gravel, and other materials from trucks, conveyors, or stockpiles using shovels, rakes, and other hand tools. You'll also be responsible for securing loads and moving materials using wheelbarrows or hand trucks., • Equipment Support: Assist heavy equipment operators by acting as a spotter, guiding them during loading/unloading, and ensuring safe operation. You will also perform pre-operation checks on equipment (e.g., checking fluid levels, tire pressure) under the direction of the operator and assist with cleaning and basic maintenance as instructed., • Cleaning & Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work site by removing debris, sweeping, and shoveling material build up around equipment and machinery.
