Job DescriptionSalary: Starting at $45,000 Assistant Account Executive Real Estate & Property Innovation | Marino Job Description Marino is seeking a highly organized, curious and proactive communications professional to fill the role of Assistant Account Executive within our Real Estate and Property Innovation team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with a passion for public relations, media, storytelling and the built environment, including real estate, placemaking, architecture/design, proptech, economic development, housing, hospitality, retail, construction, infrastructure or related sectors. The Assistant Account Executive will play a key supporting role on integrated account teams, helping to drive results for a diverse range of clients while learning the fundamentals of agency account management, media relations, client service and strategic communications. # Responsibilities • Support the day-to-day operations of multiple real estate and property innovation accounts, helping account teams stay organized, on deadline and aligned around client priorities., • Track client deliverables, timelines, media opportunities, reporting deadlines and internal action items, proactively flagging next steps and helping ensure nothing falls through the cracks., • Monitor media coverage, client mentions, competitor news, market trends and relevant industry conversations across real estate, business, trade, local and national outlets., • Compile and circulate media clips, coverage updates, client reports, meeting notes and action-item recaps in a timely and polished manner., • Conduct reporter, outlet, award, event, speaking opportunity and editorial calendar research to support client programs and new pitch angles., • Build and maintain targeted media lists across real estate, business, architecture/design, urban affairs, technology, hospitality, retail, local news and trade media., • Assist with media outreach by drafting pitches, following up with reporters, tracking responses and helping coordinate interview opportunities under the direction of senior team members., • Begin developing relationships with reporters, editors, producers and trade contacts through thoughtful, well-researched and consistent media engagement., • Draft first versions of written materials, including pitches, media advisories, press releases, briefing documents, executive bios, award submissions, social media copy, bylines, talking points and client updates., • Help identify fresh storylines around development milestones, leasing activity, openings, neighborhood growth, market trends, design, amenities, sustainability, proptech, public-private partnerships and the future of the built environment., • Support client events, launches, groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, property tours, panels and other activations by assisting with media invite lists, advisories, staffing documents, check-ins, interview coordination and post-event follow-up., • Participate in brainstorms, account planning sessions and new business research, contributing ideas for media angles, thought leadership, partnerships and content opportunities., • Develop fluency in clients businesses, competitors, priority audiences and industries, using that knowledge to help identify timely opportunities and strengthen account work., • Maintain strong attention to detail across all materials, including proofreading, formatting, fact-checking and ensuring work is accurate before it is shared with senior team members or clients., • Use agency tools and platforms to support media monitoring, media list development, reporting, project management and account organization., • Bachelors degree required, preferably in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, English, urban studies, real estate, business or a related field., • 0-2 years of public relations, communications, journalism, marketing or related experience; relevant internships strongly preferred., • Strong writing, research and verbal communications skills, with familiarity with AP style preferred., • Interest in real estate, cities, neighborhoods, architecture/design, business, technology, economic development, housing, hospitality, retail and/or the broader built environment., • Ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines and account priorities in a fast-paced agency environment., • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to take clear notes, synthesize next steps and follow through on assignments., • Comfort conducting media, industry and competitor research and turning findings into useful insights for account teams., • Early media relations experience, including building media lists, drafting pitches, monitoring coverage and conducting reporter outreach, is a plus., • Familiarity with media databases, monitoring platforms, project management tools, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace preferred., • A proactive, collaborative and solutions-oriented approach, with eagerness to learn, ask thoughtful questions and grow within a team-oriented agency environment.
