At Houston Methodist, the Nursing Professional Development Leader II (PDL II) position is a specialist role, as evidenced by experience, credentials, and performance. The Nursing Professional Development (NPD) practitioner influences the professional practice of nursing, and other healthcare learners, to create a positive impact on the patients and families served, as well as overall population health. The PDL II primarily practices in the hospital central department, or learning environment, with emphasis on core hospital-based programs impacting a variety of nursing and interdisciplinary learners. In addition to performing the essential functions of the PDL I role, the PDL II engages in strategic thinking, leadership, program oversight, and coordination of nursing professional initiatives to advance entity and system goals and the NPD profession. Job Description OB SUMMARY Rotating Machinery Services Inc. is seeking Rotor Balancing Technician(s). This role will perform a variety of mechanical operations / tasks on turbomachinery components and assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements. We also have flexibility to train the right mechanically inclined candidate for this role. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Maintain a safe working environment and a commitment to safety excellence., • Responsible for understanding and complying with the safety policy, procedures, and instructions., • Assemble components in accordance with procedures, drawings, work instructions, and specifications., • Perform precision balancing on components and rotating assemblies to specified requirements., • Use calipers, gauges, micrometers & other measuring tools to determine the condition of components and assemblies., • Assemble various configurations of components to corresponding assembly prints utilizing available tooling, gauging and equipment., • Generate inspection reports as required and assist with documenting quality issues and solutions., • Maintaining a clean and organized work area., • Ability to understand assembly and manufacturing prints., • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge and/or Skill Requirements: The requirements below are the minimum requirements an employee needs to fulfill this position. Education: • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited school or institution. Previous Experience: • At least two years of experience working in an industrial or machine shop setting preferred., • Minimum of two years of experience with component assembly and dynamic balancing. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS • The position may be based in RMS’s Pearland Works Facility - Houston, TX., • This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. Additional hours, including evenings or weekends, may be required based on project needs., • This position can be required to participate in the company random or customer specific drug and alcohol screening and background check., • Must possess a valid driver’s license, • Ability to pass pre-employment drug, alcohol test, and background check., • Ability to act professionally under stressful situations., • Able to understand, read, write and speak English., • Ability and willingness to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. (with assistance), walk, climb, reach, kneel, crawl, and balance., • Must be able to use hands for assembling and tool usage, • While performing the duties of this position the employee will be required to stand, sit, bend, and walk for significant portions of the shift, • Must not have allergies or issues related to handling metals, including aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel., • Authorized to work in the United States, • RMS Inc. may have government contracts that impose specific requirements on employees working on those projects. Work Environment: • While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
