Who you are We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Workday HCM Implementation Lead to join our team on a contract basis. This is a critical role responsible for leading our extensive Workday deployment, driving a successful go-live, and ensuring our organization is ready to embrace new ways of working. The ideal candidate is a seasoned Workday expert with a proven track record of managing large-scale, complex HCM implementations. This role will be instrumental in guiding our team, managing key milestones, and fostering strong collaboration across all stakeholders, including HR, IT, Finance, and our System Integrator (SI) partners. This is a 12-18 month exempt contract position. What you'll do • Serve as the primary delivery lead for a comprehensive Workday HCM implementation impacting 24,000 employees globally, • Lead the program from the early stages of design through to go-live and hypercare, • Manage and mentor a team of internal resources and external consultants, • Develop and manage the overall project plan, ensuring all milestones are met on time and within scope, • Partner with business leaders to align Workday functionality with our strategic goals, • Drive organizational readiness and change management efforts to prepare our workforce for the new system, • Identify opportunities to optimize business processes and leverage Workday capabilities to their full potential, • Work closely with the VP of People Operations and the VP, ERP Transformation to ensure alignment across the broader program between the Workday and Oracle ERP implementations, • Act as the key point of contact for our System Integrator and other third-party vendors, • Engage with stakeholders across HR, IT, and business units to gather requirements and ensure successful adoptionWhat we're looking for, • 7+ years of experience leading complex enterprise-level projects, with at least 3 years specifically focused on Workday HCM implementations, • Strong understanding of Workday's implementation methodology, • Deep, hands-on experience leading end-to-end Workday implementations, • Proven expertise in the following Workday modules: Core HCM, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits (including Cloud Connect for Benefits Outside the US), Performance, Advanced Compensation, Global Payroll Connect, Learning, AI Illuminat, • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, • Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, • Experience managing and collaborating with a System Integrator and other third-party vendors, • Bachelor's degree in a relevant fieldWhile not required, these are a plus: Metropolis values in-person collaboration to drive innovation, strengthen culture, and enhance the Member experience.
