Job Description Marketing and Development Coordinator Organizational Summary The Corner Health Center is Michigan's first, largest and most comprehensive freestanding adolescent and young adult health center. The Corner serves youth and young adults ages 12 through 25 (and their children) and has over 40 years of experience providing care to individuals with complex needs. The Corner provides high quality, judgment-free, affordable health and wellness care and education. Job Summary The Corner Health Center seeks a Marketing and Development Coordinator with experience in managing multi-channel communications and marketing activities, including implementing marketing campaigns and strategies, curating print and media content and coordinating multiple social media accounts. Reporting to the Director of Development, this individual will work very closely with the Director of Programs and Health Education team to spearhead communication and marketing efforts on behalf of the Corner Health Center. This is an exempt, full-time, hybrid position (40 hours per week, including some evening and weekend hours) with competitive salary and benefits. This is an ideal position for someone with communications, marketing and social media experience, with a passion for promoting a strong, local community organization, thrives in a collaborative environment and has a strong connection to young people. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Launch marketing and cross-cutting communications efforts targeting adolescents to drive healthcare utilization across Corner Health Center sites, • Promote and market outcomes in a storytelling format by capturing patient stories and turning concepts into relatable narratives for publication, • Work closely with the Health Educator, Director of Programs and Development Director to create hard copy and electronic materials for patients to optimize the care journey, improve patient experience, and create efficiencies in care delivery, • Create targeted and differentiated flyers, brochures, and other print material to promote the Corner to patients, community members, and donors for events, mailings, and other special activities, • Manage and update content on all CHC social media accounts, website, digital and print promotions, • Monitor social media accounts and activities. Engage with followers on social media accounts by replying to DMs, comments, and requests, • Stay informed on health trends, user trends, best practices, and capabilities to ensure timely and relevant responses and media posts, • Create and publish Annual Report, • Assist with planning and execution of special fundraising events, e.g. Three Course Celebratory, • Attend community events to capture videos and pictures to post on social media, • Create and display educational/promotional videos for the clinic lobby televisions and bulletin boards and ensure timely updates, • Create, publish and mail/post the monthly Corner newsletter and the quarterly donor newsletter. Increase and manage marketing efforts to incorporate a targeted approach around patient recruitment and community engagement, • Maintain contact with donors and other stakeholders for special events and appeals, • Build and maintain relationships with external media and disseminate press releases and other campaigns to external media contacts; be deputized as spokesperson for the Corner at events where necessary in the absence of the CEO or Director of Development, • Prepare the CEO and other members of the Leadership Team for interviews with external media, • Assist with managing and “planning” for outreach events; field/manage requests for Corner presence/participation in community events; assist with scheduling and staffing (volunteers and Corner staff), • Function as a navigator at events to help patients enroll in Medicaid or connect to other needed services Qualifications: • 4+ years of marketing experience, • Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in Marketing, Communications, UX design, or another related field, • Social media management experience, • Experience in editing print, digital and video content, • Proficiency in photography and videography, • Experience working with Canva, Wordpress, Hootsuite, and Meta, • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and thorough, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with team members, • Appropriate turnaround time on projects, • Knowledge on content management and creation, • Capability of tracking and executing multiple projects simultaneously Benefits • The Corner offers a competitive medical and dental health insurance plan for its employees, with a fully premium-paid plan by the Corner, • New parents receive 18 weeks of leave to care for their new family, and the first 9 weeks are fully paid by the Corner, • The Corner offers a hybrid work schedule that combines on-site work with flexible options to work remotely, • The Corner’s culture makes it a fun, meaningful place to work and serve our community.
