Job Description Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Manager – Corrugated Manufacturing Job Description The Industrial Maintenance Manager leads all maintenance operations in a high‑volume corrugated paper manufacturing plant. This role ensures equipment reliability, drives preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and manages a multi‑skilled maintenance team to support safe, efficient, and continuous production. Responsibilities • Direct daily maintenance activities for corrugators, converting lines, and all facility systems to support high‑volume corrugated manufacturing., • Lead and coordinate a multi‑skill maintenance team across all shifts, including supervision, coaching, and development of maintenance technicians., • Own preventive maintenance programs, including planning, scheduling, and ensuring compliance to minimize unplanned downtime and extend asset life., • Lead rapid troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production and facility equipment., • Diagnose and resolve problems using PLC troubleshooting, industrial electrical knowledge, and root‑cause analysis techniques., • Enforce safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and adherence to OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements., • Oversee the use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate creation and closure of work orders, asset history tracking, and parts inventory management., • Collaborate closely with production and other cross‑functional teams to improve equipment uptime, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives., • Participate in and support capital and capex projects, including planning, installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of new equipment., • Utilize blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to guide maintenance activities and ensure correct repairs and installations., • Implement and support predictive maintenance activities, such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis, to identify issues before failures occur., • Promote a culture of safety, reliability, and accountability within the maintenance team and across the plant., • Corrugated manufacturing maintenance experience with corrugators, flexographic equipment, rotary die cutters, or similar corrugated production machinery., • At least 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role., • Strong hands‑on skills in PLC troubleshooting and industrial electrical systems, including 3‑phase power and electrical maintenance., • Proficiency in mechanical systems, including gears, bearings, drives, and related mechanical components used in industrial equipment., • Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics, including troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic systems., • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues quickly and effectively in a production environment., • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, asset histories, and parts inventory., • Proven experience performing root‑cause analysis to identify underlying issues and implement long‑term corrective actions., • Knowledge of and commitment to safety practices, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and OSHA compliance., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for electrical and mechanical systems., • Strong maintenance management and supervision skills, including planning, prioritizing, and delegating work in a fast‑paced environment., • Lean or Six Sigma certification, or demonstrated experience with continuous improvement methodologies., • Experience with predictive maintenance tools such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis., • Experience in corrugated paper manufacturing, including familiarity with high‑speed converting and corrugating processes., • Experience in project management and capital (capex) projects related to equipment upgrades, installations, or plant improvements., • Exposure to industrial electrical troubleshooting beyond basic maintenance, including complex control systems., • Experience leading or mentoring maintenance technicians in a multi‑shift manufacturing environment., • Familiarity with safety programs and initiatives that drive a strong safety culture within maintenance and production teams. Work Environment This role is based in a high‑volume corrugated paper manufacturing plant with corrugators, converting lines, flexographic equipment, and rotary die cutters. The environment is fast‑paced and production‑driven, requiring close coordination with operations and other departments. Work involves frequent interaction with industrial electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as regular use of a CMMS and technical documentation such as blueprints and schematics. The position typically supports multiple shifts and may require availability for off‑shift or weekend support to address urgent maintenance needs and minimize downtime. Safety standards, including lockout/tagout, machine guarding, and OSHA compliance, are central to daily operations, and employees follow established safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of St Paul, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $175000.00/yr. Monthly cash bonus between 10% - 21% paid out at the end of every month.
