The Warehouse Technician will process orders, prepare items for shipment and receive incoming inventory. Where applicable also responsible for cleaning and disinfecting returned equipment, cleaning room maintenance, stocking and staging inventory, and inventory maintenance. The technician assists the supervisor or manager in pulling and loading equipment for delivery in addition to assembly of equipment when necessary, maintaining confidentiality and all other aspects of HIPAA compliance are essential in this job. Employees in this position may also be requested to deliver equipment to patients and/or facilities. The apprentice will gain exposure to various aspects of irrigation work and learn to perform tasks safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Learning and Development: • Assist experienced technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems., • Observe and learn how to design and layout irrigation systems according to company standards, design specifications and local codes., • Participate in training sessions and workshops to build technical skills and industry knowledge., • Help with the installation of irrigation system components, such as points of connection controllers, pipes, valves, sprinkler heads and micro-irrigation., • Perform routine maintenance checks under supervision to ensure irrigation systems function properly and efficiently., • Gain a foundational understanding of irrigation system components, hydraulic principles, and water conservation practices., • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment., • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to irrigation system installation and maintenance., • Accompany technicians on service calls and installations to gain experience in customer interaction., • Assist in maintaining accurate records of work performed, including service reports and installation logs., • Work collaboratively with other apprentices, technicians, and support staff to contribute to project success and customer satisfaction., • Represent Sunrise Irrigation with professionalism and uphold our values of integrity, reliability, and excellence., • Maintain a neat and professional appearance while on duty and adhere to company policies and procedures., • Demonstrate a can-do attitude, always seeking solutions and taking initiative to overcome challenges., • Actively seek opportunities for skill enhancement and professional growth related to irrigation systems., • Engage in ongoing learning and development to progress toward becoming a certified irrigation technician., • Maintain a valid driver’s license to operate a company vehicle, if necessary., • Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme weather conditions., • High school diploma or GED., • Must be at least 18 years of age., • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record., • Strong interest in learning about irrigation systems and a desire to pursue a career as an irrigation technician., • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and apply new techniques., • Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
