Job Description Job Summary: This mechanic position demonstrates the ability to perform basic inspections, basic diagnoses, and basic repairs of diesel-powered heavy equipment and/or related equipment or components, following established procedures and guidelines. Works as a member of a team to provide basic mechanical services that satisfy customer needs and achieve departmental goals. Entry-level position – Generally has less than two years of experience and/or demonstrated job-relevant knowledge/skills. This includes construction equipment such as dozers, excavators, and aerial lifts. As well as fleet vehicles, water pumps, and small gas operated engines.
