Take a glimpse into why CW might be the right place for you: • Location: New Britain, CT, • Shift: 8:00am to 4:30pm What You'll Do as a Business & Partner Developer: • Develop and sustain strong partnerships with local businesses, employers, and community organizations to create employment, volunteer, and career exploration opportunities for individuals with disabilities., • Identify and pursue new opportunities for job placements and workforce collaboration by staying informed on local business trends and community needs., • Advocate for the talents and contributions of individuals with disabilities, helping employers recognize their value and potential in the workplace., • Represent CW Resources at job fairs, community events, and forums to build relationships and promote welcoming workforce initiatives., • Engage employers directly through activities like mock interviews, job shadowing, company tours, and volunteer programs that highlight candidate strengths., • Maintain and grow existing partnerships by ensuring ongoing communication, satisfaction, and mutual success., • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth coordination and alignment with external partners., • Provide regular updates to leadership on outreach efforts, partnership development, and progress toward goals., • Keep accurate records of outreach activities, partner engagement, and follow-up actions to track impact and outcomes., • Experience in human services, employment support, business development, career navigation, or vocational rehabilitation—preferably within the nonprofit sector and focused on supporting adults with disabilities., • Proven ability to build strong relationships with employers, community partners, and service agencies, with a track record of successful business partnerships., • Solid understanding of workforce development strategies, employment services, and community engagement practices that support individuals with disabilities., • Familiarity with service coordination through agencies such as DORS, the Department on Aging, and the Department of Developmental Services., • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Teams, Outlook, and Excel., • Willingness and ability to travel locally to meet with partners, visit sites, and attend events., • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills., • Proficient knowledge of employment laws, ADA regulations, and workplace accommodations., • Demonstrates professionalism and discretion in managing sensitive or confidential information., • Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions under pressure., • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment., • You’ll be part of a team that values your work and supports your growth., • You’ll have access to wellness programs that help you stay healthy and balanced., • You’ll get to see the impact of your work as people reach their goals., • Employer Sponsored Benefits Includes:, • Insurance - Medical, Dental, Vision, • Telemedicine, • Retirement Plan & Match Options, • Disability Plans, • Life Insurance – Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Group Term Life, • Paid Holidays, Vacation and Sick time, • Voluntary Benefits Offered Includes:, • Must be able to sit at a desk, stand during presentations or meetings, and walk through schools, offices, or community sites for extended periods., • Occasionally required to lift or carry materials such as laptops, files, or program supplies weighing up to 25 pounds., • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, using a phone, and handling paperwork or small equipment., • Must be able to drive or travel locally to meet with students, visit job sites, or attend meetings at schools and community locations., • Requires clear vision and hearing to interact effectively with students, coworkers, and community partners in person or virtually., • Work takes place in a variety of settings, including offices, schools, community centers, and local businesses., • May visit job sites that differ in cleanliness, noise level, lighting, or accessibility., • Occasionally works outdoors during community events or site visits, which may involve walking on uneven surfaces or being exposed to weather., • May work in shared office spaces or open environments where interruptions and background noise are common., • Needs emotional strength and patience when supporting individuals with disabilities or facing personal challenges.
