Job Description Program Director – Child Care & Camp (Exempt, Full-Time) Sonoma County Family YMCA · Santa Rosa, CA Salary: $73,500 – $75,500 annually • FLSA: Exempt • Status: Full-Time Resumes will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Staff Development • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff and volunteers., • Build high-performing teams through coaching, motivation, and accountability., • Lead development, delivery, and evaluation of childcare and camp programs., • Maintain compliance with YMCA policies, licensing standards, and safety requirements., • Partner with schools, community agencies, and internal departments to support program success., • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, and program outcomes., • Analyze data, systems, and processes to identify opportunities for growth and retention., • Maintain accurate records and documentation., • Coordinate registration, fee schedules, handbooks, and participant communications., • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience., • Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience in youth programs, childcare, camp, or related fields., • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills., • Ability to adapt to variable hours including mornings, evenings, and weekends., • Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)., • DOJ & FBI fingerprint clearance required which includes sex offender screening.
