This opportunity is ideal for experienced professionals who want to work in a true emergency setting, sharpen advanced technical skills, and collaborate with specialty and ICU teams. • High-acuity, fast-paced emergency medicine, • Strong collaboration with ICU, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Oncology, • Flexible full-time scheduling options, • Clear pathways for advanced skill development and credentialing, • A culture that values clinical excellence, autonomy, and teamwork, • Full-Time ER Position, • Mid/Swing Shift: 2:00 PM – 2:00 AM, • Flexible scheduling options:, • 4 x 12-hour shifts, • 4 x 10-hour shiftsWeekend rotation may apply (details discussed during interview) Key Responsibilities – Emergency Medicine • Assist with emergency triage, stabilization, and urgent interventions, • Perform rapid patient assessments and initiate treatment protocols, • Support emergency procedures including CPR, oxygen therapy, and shock management, • Perform technical procedures including:, • IV catheter placement, • Blood draws and point-of-care diagnostics, • Radiographs, • Anesthesia induction and monitoring, • Administer medications via IV, IM, SQ, and oral routes, • Assist with wound care, splinting, and emergency surgical prep, • Monitor ER patients throughout treatment and recovery, • Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care in high-stress situations, • Support veterinarians with client updates and discharge education, • Maintain detailed, accurate medical records, • Ensure continuity of care during patient transfers to ICU or specialty services, • Work closely with ER doctors, ICU, and specialty teams, • Participate in case discussions and handoffs, • 2+ years of experience in Emergency, ICU, or high-volume General Practice, • Strong technical and nursing skills in fast-paced environments, • Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective under pressure, • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, • Commitment to patient advocacy and gold-standard care, • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, CVT), • Emergency or Specialty hospital experience, • Interest in pursuing advanced training, licensure, or VTS (ECC), • Proficiency in emergency triage, stabilization, and monitoring, • Strong anesthesia and procedural support skills, • Ability to multitask and prioritize in dynamic ER settings, • Solid understanding of emergency pharmacology and protocols, • Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods, • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, • Competitive Pay:, • $17.50–$24.00/hr based on experience, • $25+/hr negotiable for actively Licensed Veterinary Technicians with relevant ER/Specialty experience, • Shift differentials may apply for late-night hours, • CE allowance and conference opportunities, • Dedicated CE PTO, • Support for licensure and advanced skill development, • Career growth within the Innovetive Petcare network, • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, • 401(k) with employer match, • Life and disability insurance, • Employee pet care discounts, • High-performing ER team with strong leadership support, • Collaborative, respectful workplace that values technician expertise, • Commitment to learning, mentorship, and professional development Apply Today - Join an ER team where your skills, judgment, and voice truly matter.
