Job DescriptionDescription: VP, E-Commerce The E-Commerce VP is responsible for driving the company's e-commerce strategy, driving sales growth via direct-to-consumer channels and marketplaces. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the e-commerce business, including website management, online marketing, customer experience, and fulfillment. The E-Commerce VP collaborates with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and customer service, to ensure seamless online operations and a positive customer journey. Duties/Responsibilities • Develop and execute the company's e-commerce strategy, aligned with business goals and market trends., • Oversee the development and management of the e-commerce website, mobile, marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, specialty), • Collaborate with creative services, marketing, product, and supply chain to ensure timely launch of products online., • Optimize conversion through UX enhancements, SEO, SEM, A/B testing, and performance analytics, • Implement and analyze sales and traffic data using tools such as Google Analytics, SQL, BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI), • Lead digital marketing campaigns (PPC, email, social) to drive traffic and customer acquisition, • Build and lead an e commerce team—channel managers (e.g. eCommerce Channel Manager), merchandisers, content specialists, • Manage e commerce P&L budget, forecasting, vendor and technology partnerships, • Stay informed on industry trends, marketplace policies, and competitive landscape; act proactively to adapt, • Ensure compliance with regulations and company’s ethical and transparency standards in digital operations, • Utilize web analytics and data insights to identify opportunities for optimization and make data-driven decisions to enhance the online shopping experience., • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks related to e-commerce operations. This includes conducting regular risk assessments, developing contingency plans, and ensuring that the e-commerce platform is resilient to disruptions such as cybersecurity threats, supply chain issues, and market fluctuations., • Foster a culture consistent with Schumacher’s purpose, core values and strategic anchors., • Regular attendance is an essential function of the job., • Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Required Skills/Abilities • Experience across multiple platforms: Shopify, Magento, Amazon Seller Central, etc., • Strong analytical skills and experience with conversion rate optimization, SEO, A/B testing, • Proficiency in analytics and BI tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, Excel, SQL), • Demonstrated experience managing digital marketing campaigns and budget, • Excellent leadership and cross functional collaboration abilities, • Product category familiarity—battery maintenance, automotive—is a plus, • P&L ownership and vendor negotiation experience, • Strategic thinker with hands on expertise in execution, • Data driven decision maker who balances analytics with customer insight, • Strong communicator and influencer across senior leadership and business units, • Adaptable leader in a fast moving, growth focused environment, • Familiarity with e-commerce regulations, data privacy requirements, and online payment systems., • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills., • Education: bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, e-commerce, or a related field. A master's degree preferred., • Experience: 7+ years’ in e-commerce leadership roles with proven revenue growth., • Internal applicants: 6+ months successful demonstration of current position responsibilities, approval from current manager, and a relevant combination of education, continuing education, and experience., • Candidates who do not meet the specified educational or experience requirements but possess equivalent qualifications and relevant experience may be considered for this position.
