Job DescriptionJob Title: General Laborer Job Description As a General Laborer, you will be an integral part of the team, contributing to the remanufacturing process of transmissions by providing labor, parts, service, and goods to other team members and departments. Your role is crucial in ensuring that daily demands are met and processes run smoothly within the department. Responsibilities • Perform a wide variety of tasks assigned by the manager or supervisor., • Assist in the assembly and manufacturing processes., • Operate hand and power tools effectively., • Fulfill requests to support daily operations., • Maintain organization and help ensure smooth workflow.Essential Skills, • 1 year of manufacturing experience., • Proficiency in using hand and power tools., • Mechanical aptitude., • Experience in assembly and automotive repair.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with blueprint reading., • Familiarity with assembly line processes.Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a shop setting that may have oil and transmission fluid smells, and can be dirty or slippery at times. However, it is climate-controlled year-round in a restructured Walmart facility. The role involves working on multiple lines dedicated to specific business needs, such as the remanufacturing of GM 6L transmissions. The first shift runs from 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. Employees are required to wear steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Milwaukee, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
