Job DescriptionJob Title: General Laborer - 3rd ShiftJob Description As a General Laborer, you play an essential role in the team by providing labor, parts, service, and goods to other team members and departments. This role is crucial in the remanufacturing process of transmissions. Your day will involve performing a wide range of duties and specific tasks assigned by the manager or supervisor. You will be expected to be helpful, organized, and responsive to requests to ensure daily demands are met and processes run smoothly within the department. Responsibilities • Perform a wide variety of duties related to the remanufacturing process., • Assist with assembling parts and products., • Utilize hand and power tools effectively., • Fulfill requests to support team members and departmental needs., • Maintain organization and cleanliness in the work area., • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines., • Complete tasks as assigned by the manager or supervisor.Essential Skills, • Assembly and manufacturing experience., • Proficiency with hand and power tools., • Mechanical aptitude., • Experience in the automotive industry., • Ability to read and understand blueprints.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • 1 year of manufacturing experience., • Automotive repair experience is a plus.Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a shop setting that may have the smell of oil or transmission fluid and can be dirty or slippery at times. It features a climate-controlled atmosphere year-round, situated in a restructured Walmart location. The facility has multiple lines dedicated to specific business needs, including Lines A & B, which handle different transmissions throughout the day, and the 6L Line, which focuses on remanufacturing GM 6L transmissions in a uniform and fast-paced manner. The dress code requires steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Milwaukee, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
