Job DescriptionJob Title: Material Handler Job Description The Material Handler maintains organized warehouse aisles, processes inventory accurately, and supports the efficient flow of merchandise throughout the facility. This role includes unloading and loading trailers, moving products to designated locations, and ensuring all stock is sorted, stacked, and stored according to established guidelines. The Material Handler follows company safety standards at all times and helps keep the warehouse and stockroom clean, safe, and orderly. Responsibilities • Maintain warehouse aisles by following established sorting, stocking, and stacking guidelines to keep inventory organized and accessible., • Process inventory accurately by checking, recording, and tracking stock, and proactively investigate and correct any discrepancies., • Open, break down, and stack cases and merchandise in an orderly manner to support efficient stocking and picking., • Complete the freight process within designated timeframes, including unloading truck trailers, loading merchandise onto carts, and distributing inventory to correct locations., • Pull and stock merchandise in the appropriate areas of the warehouse and stockroom to support production and order fulfillment., • Use material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, to move large amounts of materials safely across the building., • Perform loading and unloading activities, including heavy lifting, to support daily shipping, receiving, and production needs., • Wrap and package products securely to prepare items for storage, shipment, or further processing., • Keep the sorting, warehouse floor, and stockroom areas clean, safe, and organized in accordance with company safety standards., • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of equipment and safe lifting techniques., • Collaborate with team members and support other warehouse or production areas as assigned based on business needs., • Perform other related duties as required to support overall warehouse operations and efficiency.Essential Skills, • Proven stockroom or warehouse experience with a focus on organization and accuracy., • Ability to perform heavy lifting and move large amounts of materials safely across the building., • Experience with general labor, production support, and material handling tasks., • Proficiency using pallet jacks to transport pallets and materials throughout the facility., • Experience operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials as needed., • Ability to perform loading and unloading of trucks, including stacking and staging merchandise., • Skill in wrapping and packaging products to ensure secure storage and transport., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing inventory and resolving discrepancies., • Willingness to follow established guidelines, safety standards, and operational procedures., • Capability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and meet designated timeframes.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Previous experience in a stockroom or large warehouse environment., • Comfort working in a machine shop, open-space setting alongside a large team., • Reliability and strong work ethic, with flexibility to support overtime when needed., • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors., • Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fremont, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
