Job DescriptionJob Title: Order Picker & Forklift Operator - 1st Shift - 17.50/hr Job Description This full-time Order Picker role is part of a collaborative shipping team in a positive manufacturing environment. You will accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring they are processed on time and in line with quality standards. The position starts on a daytime training schedule and transitions to an afternoon/evening shift once training is complete, offering stability and the opportunity to contribute to a growing organization. Responsibilities • Pick, pack, and ship products accurately based on daily customer orders., • Follow established quality plans and meet customer order specifications within required timeframes., • Keep products properly separated, organized, and rotated to maintain inventory accuracy and product quality., • Monitor picked quantities while packing and promptly report any discrepancies or issues to the Supervisor., • Use a continuous improvement mindset to identify and suggest opportunities to improve processes and workflows., • Follow all workplace safety guidelines and procedures while performing daily tasks., • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area throughout the shift., • Experience working in a warehouse, shipping, or receiving environment., • Ability to perform order picking, packing, and general material handling tasks., • Familiarity with inventory practices and basic stock rotation., • Capability to use RF scanners for order picking or inventory tracking., • Ability to operate pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts, or willingness to learn., • Strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and organization in a production or warehouse setting., • Demonstrated dedication to customer service and meeting customer expectations., • Flexible approach to work tasks and schedules to support team and operational needs., • Previous experience in production, packaging, or general labor roles in a manufacturing environment., • Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including preparing orders for pickup., • Comfort working with packaging materials and equipment in a fast-paced setting., • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-focused shipping and manufacturing environment. Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing and warehouse environment as part of a shipping team. Training is conducted on an 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. shift for approximately 30 to 90 days, after which the schedule transitions to an 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. shift. You will work around production and packaging operations and use equipment such as RF scanners, pallet jacks, and sit-down forklifts. The environment requires adherence to safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace, and handling materials and products throughout the shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $12.00 - $18.00/hr.
