The Trust and Estates Paralegal will also draft and file accountings as well as death and fiduciary tax returns. Overview • Coordinate probate court filings and recordings, including research and familiarity with local rules and probate court, • Prepare probate administration paperwork, including administration accounts, court petitions, orders, deeds, certifications, etc., • Coordinate post-death non-probate administration, • Communicate with clients and professional advisors relating to routine acts of estate administration, • Prepare Gift Tax, Estate Tax, and Fiduciary income tax returns., • Input financial data to prepare and file accountings, • Work with clients’ financial advisors on proper titling of accounts., • Prepare basic Estate Planning documents., • Manage Estate Planning process through document signings. Education & Experience • 5+ years of experience working as a trust and estate paralegal with minimal supervision, • High school diploma or GED – Bachelors degree or paralegal certificate preferred, • Experience in Pennsylvania probate administration, • Knowledge of estate planning documents and concepts, • Experience with OneSource Estate and Trust, and CCH ProSystems platform a plus, • Must know how to prepare gift tax, estate tax, and fiduciary income tax returns, • Experience in local probate administration and with professional service vendors helpful, • Self-motivated, flexible, with exceptional follow-through skills Knowledge & Skills • Candidate must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and effective time management, • Self-motivated, flexible, with exceptional follow-through skills, • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, • Capable of independently managing multiple projects, • Individual in this position will provide additional assistance and support as directed by their supervisor., • Candidate must be flexible and able to work in the office at a minimum 2-3 times a week., • Job may require occasional travel to the firm’s other offices

The team is eager to move quickly and is open to attorneys who can step into a meaningful role immediately, including a potential leadership role. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of defense litigation experience (preference for nursing home/long-term care defense, or medical malpractice defense), along with proven deposition experience and strong client-facing judgment.
