We are seeking aVice President, Communicationsto join ourCorporateTeam.In this role, you willbe responsible fordeveloping and executing a comprehensive communications strategy that elevates Jupiter Power's brand, articulates its leadership in the energy storage sector, and manages its reputationand interestsacross diverse stakeholder groups.The role will also manage critical communications under the companys emergency response plansand support project developmentcommunications needs.This role requires a strategic storyteller with deep experience in the energy sector, capable of translating complex technical and regulatory issues into clear, compelling narratives for a variety of audiences. This role will be based out ofany of our offices (Austin, TX,Chicago, IL orHouston, TX)and is subject to our Companys return-to-officepolicywhich currently requires a minimum of three days a week in the office. Key Responsibilities Strategic Communications & Brand Management • Work closely with executiveteamandacross key teams to develop and implement a unified, high-impact internal and external communications strategy aligned with Jupiter Power's businessobjectives, growthplansand values., • Serve asprimarysteward of the Jupiter Power brand, ensuring consistency in voice, messaging and visual identity across all platforms and communications., • Position Jupiter Power as a thought leader in energy storage, grid modernization, marketoperationsand energy policy. Media Relations & Public Affairs • Establish andmaintainclose understanding of Development, Transmission and Origination team activities/needs, lead project-specific communications and ensure consistency with companypriorities., • Collaborate closely with thePolicy/Regulatory, Procurement, Markets,Commercialand otherinternalteams to ensure communications effectively supportCompanypolicy advocacy effortsand commercial interests/relationshipswithlegislative bodies,ISOs/RTOsandstate PUCs., • Lead all media relations, acting as the primary companyspokespersonandpreparing executive leadership for interviews and public appearances., • Proactively cultivate relationships with key national, regional, energy trade and financial media outlets., • Develop high-impact content including press releases, media pitches, company statements, op-eds, executive talking points and case studies (e.g., project milestones, PPA announcements). Content Strategy & Digital Presence • Oversee the content strategy for the company's digital channels, including the corporate website, LinkedIn,X/Twitterand Bluesky,ensuring content is fresh, engaging, and reinforces strategic messaging., • Manage the creation and distribution of all corporate collateral, including fact sheets, annual reports, presentations, and thought leadership pieces that simplify the value proposition of energy storage., • Drive internal communications to ensure all employees are informed about company strategy, milestones, and external messaging. Crisis& Project DevelopmentCommunications • Lead crisis and issues management communications, developing and implementing rapid-response strategies to protect andmaintaincorporate reputation during sensitive events., • Work closely with Development team to1)anticipatecommunications needs and develop project-specific plans to support projectdevelopment& permittingprogress and decision-makingand 2)create andmaintainup-to-date and consistent marketingmaterials to support local community communications, including one-pagers, project websites, project presentations, and open-house materials, • Develop and manage communication plans, in coordination withthe Companyslead Safetyteam,to support investor relations, customer partnerships (e.g., utilities, corporate PPA partners), and community relations for project development sites., • Support cross-team communicationstraining, working withinternal and external resourcesto create effective programstoprepare personnel to handle expected event communications needs, including crisis response communications. Requirements • 5+yearsexperiencein corporate communications, publicrelationsor public affairs with a minimum of 3 years in the energy, renewables, utility-scaletechnologyor other similarsector., • Proventrack recordof success in media relations, thought leadershipondevelopment and crisiscommunicationsanddemonstratedsocial media experience on major platforms., • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, withabilityto translate complex technical concepts (e.g., wholesale power markets, BESS technology, QSE operations) into clear and compelling narratives., • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Trading, Development, Legal)., • Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment., • Preferred -Experience managing communications for an Independent Power Producer (IPP) or a company focused on energy storage, market analytics, or grid technology., • Preferred -Existing relationships with key energy and business journalists., • Preferred -Experience with regulatory or public affairs communications in US electricity markets (ERCOT, CAISO, PJM, etc.). Compensation & Benefits $175,000- $225,000 Thispayrange reflects the minimum andmaximumtarget salary for the position. Jupiter Power considersa number offactors whendeterminingstarting compensation such as the position requirements and the candidate's qualifications. In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility toparticipatein our bonus and equity programs.
